SEC15 WK1: "Life on Social Media"

When I first met Facebook, it was something new to me and I wanted to share every moment of my life online. We got likes and different reactions, and thanks to this we also had better contact with people. After a while, I realized it was artificial. I don't think it makes sense to show other people what we're doing. People are very curious, they come to Facebook usually out of boredom. Now I don't want anyone to know what I'm doing right now and with whom. I believe that the fewer people know the better. Of course, you can add something from time to time, but without exaggeration.

Some people can make good use of social media and become famous or make money. Of course, it also depends on the person. Some will add something, and run for a while, other people can't imagine life without sharing their lives on social media. We never know who will be watching our profile. I've known cases where people with a sick child shared all the time what they were doing and how they were coping. People were raising money to help them. So sometimes it works out for good.

Not everything we see on social media is true. Many people cheat just to get money later. My colleague is a living example of this. He's been writing with a woman for over a year. He fell in love with her, she also claimed to be in love with him and they were going to meet soon. She wrote to him that there was no money to come, so my friend, in love with his ears, sent her money. Unfortunately, she blocked it and contact broke off. So you have to be careful.

I feel safe on Steemit, I don't share so much private information, and I communicate my thoughts and feelings more here. I know it's blockchain and everything stays forever, but it doesn't show much personal stuff here. I've been using Steemit for a few years and think it's safe. I've met a lot of wonderful people who share their thoughts with me. I wish I had known about Steemit before. This is a much better alternative than Facebook. It would be great if in the future it became popular enough for this platform to be number one in the world.
Maybe someday it will happen

I can really understand with you dear friend that that time you didn't really understand what was going on on social media.

Yes I know a lot of people use social media to become famous and so meaning of them are making money from it.

I even have some friends that all their lives depend on social media all because of the benefit they got from there it has really enriched them but one has to be very careful.

When you first got attached to Facebook or met Facebook, you felt great, you were able to share a lot of your things, but slowly you realized and others found out that everything. We should not share here some things which we should keep as prize and other privacy which is human need to express your post is appreciable and worthy of understanding you are really doing great job.

Privacy is very important

¡Saludos amigo!🤗

Thank you

Hello dear,
You have shared very good points I also feel safe on Steemit because we never share any other information aspect following topic so we should never be afraid and other social media app or links are can be harmful if we use badly or every time best regards 🙂

Thank you!

That's right, social media often doesn't reflect the truth. Cases like your colleague's experience show the risks that can arise from online interactions. It's great that you feel safe on Steemit and choose to focus more on thoughts and feelings rather than personal information. Hopefully such platforms can continue to grow and provide a safer and more positive alternative compared to some other social media platforms.

We will see in future :)

@emsonic, It was very good to read your post, you have explained it very well and also given an example that your friends became unloved because of this social media and the result was very bad for them, that's why we really Social media should be used properly and our private life should always be kept away from it, and besides, if we use social media thoughtfully, it is better for ourselves.

Good Words!

You're right sir. There was this eagerness and so much interest of wanting to be on social media back then especially when your friends start talking about it and you couldn't say something because you're not there. Years back, it was blackberry and pinging, now it has fade away. God help us

It used to be a very different time.
