What do you think makes a marriage successful?

Marriage is a union between spouses, aimed at living together in love and peace.

What makes marriage successful is love, trust tolerance, honesty, respect for opinions of each other, equality hospitality. When couples observe these attributes in their marriage life, success will be attained.

How can couples improve communication in their marriage?

For couples to improve communication in their marriage, they should pray together before going and after waking up from bed.

Couples should not distance themselves from each other. They should at all times unless otherwise share the same bed, eating together in the same dish. Sharing opinions together.

They should from time go out together and take a walk within the community on visitation to neighbors and friends.

Relaxing recreative places and be watching educative movies together. Create funds and brainstorm on issues if concerned.

Discuss the importance of trust in a marriage.

The word ’trust’ means having a strong belief in the reliability, and truth of something or someone.

One of the importance of trust in marriage is, that it creates confidence within the couples, creates a strong bond and also safety and openness between the couples.

It's important to surprise your spouse with gifts from time to time and show compliments in every situation of the spouse.

How do couples navigate conflicts in a healthy way?

For couples to navigate conflicts in a healthy way,
One should not place any suspicion on either partner but always have good intentions for either partner.

Couples should be open to one another so as to clear all doubts.

Couples should not hide their feelings in any circumstances to have a free flow of information.

Partners should not place unnecessary blame on either but try to find solutions to misguided information and differences within them.

Do you consider the distance between spouses and cultural differences a problem in marriage? Why?

Yes, distances between spouses and cultural differences are a problem in marriage and the reasons are;

Couples may not understand their feelings properly if distanced themselves.

There will not be a complete trust amount themselves, i. suspicious of cheating either on them.

They may hardly understand their real identities which may lead to less confidence within them.

Cultural differences can bring problems in marriage. Couples of different cultural backgrounds will hardly adapt to each other one.

Each of the couples may want some of the things to be done based on the culture he/she is used to, and the couple may not be comfortable with it.

There will be suspicion on either of the partners when a relative of the other one pays a visit and discusses in a language the other one doesn't understand.

Some of the couples' cultures may not blend, so what the other wants, the other may not be comfortable with, which may result in unhealthy living.

In a nutshell, to be successful in marriage, there should be love and trust among them. And also, couples should learn to tolerate their cultural differences.

This is my story for the week and I would like to invite @vickyson @josepha and @dave-hanny to join the contest.
