My biggest risk @ esthy05jah

Greetings steemians

Immediately I came back from my National Youth Service, my Aunty introduced me to an online networking business that was trending at that time. Initially I told her I wasn't interested but she explained things about the platform that convinced her its real.

On a normal I will always say a no to online networking business because I know many of them are scam but I had a rethink.
Apart from the reassurance I got from her that the business is genuine, there were other factors I considered like

  1. the money I saved from my National Youth Service cannot start up a tangible business
  2. lockdown started immediate I came back from my National Youth Service, so even if I were to start up a business, it would be difficult to trade
  3. if I keep the money in my account without investing, I will end up spending the whole money on my daily needs because there was no source of income from anywhere at that time.

THE BIG RISK

After considering these factors, I decided to take the big risk by joining the online business.
"Afterall life is all about taking risk. If you fail you learn from the experience and move on and if u succeed then it's a +1. Besides, nothing comes in a platter of gold, one has to take risk to be able to move on to the next phase in life" so I thought.
I registered for the business with a huge amount of money for someone of my status.
My aunty open my online account and explained how it works.

The feelings

I went back home, feeling duped, gloomy, sullen, lost appetite, had sleepless night, having thoughts like what if it's actually a scam? then I will loose my entire savings
I was seriously disturbed so I confided in a friend since "problem shared is half solved".
The words I got was "what will be will be what will not be, will not. However the case, stay strong and face the outcome of your decision, whether it turns out good or bad, that's being responsible".
Those words brought relief kind of

Initially the business paid well as was explained, and I collected part of money but later crashed as expected.

Lessons I have learnt from taking risk

  1. do not let someone coerce you into risk taking because you and only you will face the outcome
  2. risk taking does not always leads to success, it might make one fall flat to the ground and can also make one go up to the sky. Whatever the case be grateful for life and move on

Although I had some loses in taking that particular risk but that has not deter me in taking risk.
Infact risk taking made my current status now.

Thanks for reading through.
