THE VILLAGE GENERAL SANITATION:
It was of no news that on Saturday 1st of February,2025 the village by name Ikot Antuen in Itu local Government Area Akwa Ibom, organized a Stream sanitation,this is because in their way of doing things,(norms) , they have a special day to clean their stream and this day comes on the 1st of February 2025, they rang the bell that men and women should go out with matchet and how for stream sanitation,which is their natural gift.

It was a nice experience that I joined other villagers to take part in the stream sanitation. The stream is in section by section. My report have it that men have their own section,women have their own,the most important documentary was that twins mothers do not enter the Main stream, so they have theirs also.to Work on as the sanitation was ongoing.

During this community work,as the Neighborhood Watch Reporter @etette moves around the sections to confirm the effort put to work, the first section was where men are working

This is one of an interesting opportunity to all Men that obey the sound of the village bell, they were working clearing all the leaves in the Stream and removing those particles that blocked drainage system in the Stream,it was a nice work done by all men.

The report was not deferred from that of the women section as all women were with their weeding hoes and basins at their point of duty to remove all the dirty leaves in side the Stream. It was a funny thing as they were in one accord to Cary out the community work.

The storyline was not change as working was effectively on going at the twins mother section of the stream, where morhers that put birth to twins children were also doing their part during the community task.

The important thing was that the village chairman was moving around checking how work is done and his vice,so neighborhood Watch Reporter also followed the team.

In conclusion, community Work is very important and most importantly sanitation, the community had decided to cleaned the Stream in one accord, even though there's a lot of boreholes in the neighborhood, but they maintain what nature has given to village. It really a nice thing to return back to nature.
