Hi friends, it's been a long time since I reported things happening around my neighbourhood. I know you all missed my gist. This is yours truly bringing you happenings around town on Friday, 29th, November 2024.
Government and the People of Akwa Ibom State are Mourning |

Remember, some time ago, back in September 2024, there was a report on this platform about the sudden demise of the wife of the sitting Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. For two months, the state has been mourning the demise of our dearly beloved mother, Her Excellency, Pst. Patience Umo Eno. Since last week, the preparation for her burial and home goings of our beloved First Lady had begun and on Friday 29th of November 2024, she was laid to rest.
The event had in attendance the "who is who" in Nigerian politics, personalities from the business world and beyond, pastors, chorale groups, family, friends, and well-wishers who arrived in Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom, to bid her farewell.
Watching live video of the burial on my Facebook and reading individual posts on Facebook, a lot of things have been said concerning the governor's late wife. She has been described as a true mother, grandmother, in-law, friend, confidant, counsellor, peacemaker, and a caring partner.

It has been a sober moment for every true Akwa Ibomite and the lovers of the state. Feeling sorry about the demise of Her Excellency, a lot of people have prayed that no such evil shall fall to Akwa Ibom people again. Note, Pst Patience Umo Eno was the first sitting Governor's wife to die.
I hope the Lord will comfort the bereaved family, the government and people of Akwa Ibom State, friends and well-wishers of Her Excellency.

That was on a lighter note, to crown it all about the day being Friday 29th November 2024. It is no longer news that Nigeria Steemit National meetup is on Saturday 30th November 2024. Being the eve of the meetup, everything had been fully prepared.
