What do you understand by the concept "Love".

Love is a deep affection and emotional feelings for someone or something. Talking about the concept of love, I'll say love is dynamic, it involves care, it involves trust, kindness, empathy, giving, deep feelings and attraction. Attraction because it's something that endears you to love the person.

Have you been expressing love? If yes, how have you been doing that.

Yes, I have been expressing love. Apart from the marriage relationship between my husband and me today, I used to express love to him as my friend by giving to him, showing care and offering help when needs one.

For instance, there was a time he was hospitalised. I was there for him all through the period.

There's no true love without giving. I give most of the time to express my love, because that's the part people mostly see and appreciate.

How did you respond to those who are not/did not respond back to you with the same energy you're giving out as love.

It can be frustrating when you show love, and you receive little or nothing in return. Love should be reciprocated. When people love, and they are not given the same, it hurts. In those days, I used to fall sick. Yes, sick for love. It was when I grew up that I realised that some people are not worth dying for or even showing love to.

What I do in such situations is to let the person be. I have grown to the point that I don't stress myself on people who are not worth my headache. Life continues. If you are shown love, and you feel I'm not worth being loving in return, I give up and I move. No time to waste with ungrateful people. Someone out there is standing by to kiss your feet. That's what I used to believe, it's whether you will love the person back.

Did their attitude discourage you from being that loving person that you are?

Of course, if people don't love you in return, you can't force yourself on them. It will be embarrassing when you still hang on thinking they will change, but you'll remain that fool who has refused to read the handwriting. I have always watched out, whenever I'm not loved the same way, I move on, I won't wait to be dumped or told, and then I go behind to cry, no!

Love, especially in a relationship matters a lot. It's usually a sweet ride when you love the right person who reciprocates the same to you. But nonetheless, if it doesn't work the way you want, you can't kill yourself, you get to move on, someone else is waiting to kiss your feet and make you feel like a queen or king.
