My Neighborhood Watch #83 - Reporting Events Around us

Good day steemit friends and welcome to my blog, today I'll update you on the happenings in my surrounding.
I'll be telling you about an awesome river in my surrounding. This river is called onugo river and it lays between the estate where we live.This beautiful beacon is more than a river,it is a source of inspiration and serves as a way to bring people together.We have successfully worked against threats that tend to change the ecosystem and well being of the river despite the modern development that is currently thriving here in our society.This river is not just a geographical feature but a topic that anyone who lives in my neighborhood will wish to share with others.

This wonderful beacon being a centre of attraction has drawn the attention of different people both outsiders and people within our neighborhood.

Most people visit to swim and have fun during the day because it's very clean and much better than paying hotels.while others come to play football anytime they wish in a local football pitch that is near the river.Different matches have been conducted and I'm very excited to have participated in many of them,there is no partiality amongst age or gender which makes it free for both women,men,young children and adults to come and engage in exercise or maybe just for fun.

Above is a picture that shows the local football pitch though not fully developed.

As the river stands to be a very interesting subject various people come there for film shooting or creation of popular Nollywood movies because the area where the river is located has a village like background and setting.

Another overwhelming and amazing subject that is located near the river is a fishery and poultry farm.Different people had the opportunity to make beautiful structures near the river which would have led to much more attraction from people but the fear of loosing their resources didn't give them the courage. But a brave man was able to stand out, to create such a wonderful structure where he reared fishes and chickens. The man has been able to generate a lot of income because it is nearer for people to come and purchase and he sells products like Catfishes, chickens and eggs which people purchase at better prices and sometimes free.

The authorities in my neighborhood has been able to start conducting developments around that area, both in the football pitch, professional divers who tend to watch over those who swim and bringing to existence other structures
