It quite unfortunate that almost all my days in the village during this little holiday is for work not for rest as I expected it to be.

While I was at school I thought school is stressing me let me go for holiday so that I will go and rest, but now different from my view😅. I have been working from the first day I came to the village, today I'm going to share how the day went.

Morning Time

It was in the morning after the house work, my grandma said we are going to harvest some palm fruits that same morning so that we can return before the sunshine.

I have to also understand and quickly I went to call the boy who was going to climb the palm trees.

As I was heading to the boys place I saw him on the road I have to also tell right there and returned home. Before 5-10min he arrived and said we should go.

We went and harvested about four different palm trees from the first farm we went, and the fruits was about six different bunches of palm fruit and it was very big in size.

Before leaving to the second farm, my cousins carried some of the first palm fruits on their head and I use the wheelbarrow to carry all the remaining ones, we all carried them to the house at once a before leaving to the second farm.

Arriving the second place we realized that some people have stolen some fruits from the palm trees we had to harvest the little remaining palm fruits from the second farm.

The third farm we carried about three of the palm fruits and that was the last place. The palm fruits was not much because this season is it scarcity time. We finally went home with about eleven big palm fruits.

The time was almost afternoon and the sun was already shining very hot, we all went to the house.

Afternoon Time

While we went back home, my grandma said we should boil some of the seed because we needed some oil for the house use.

I was so tired and weak I could not boil it myself, she had to boil some of the palm fruits seed by herself.

Still yet I was the one who had to pound it because it was not much to use machine to grind it, I have to use my hands and molter to pound it and my grandma selected it with my cousins and anty who where around.

She finally finished everything and we got so much oil for the family to use for this season most especially tomorrow which is the 1st day of the year.

Evening Time

Before we finished all the palm fruits work it was already evening all were tired.

We had to prepare some yam which my grandma got from the farm yesterday, we prepare the yam and eat with the new oil and it was delicious.

We make use of the oil that came out by itself, we normally call it Adan Abasi. Because no one press the oil out, it came out by itself and that particular set of oil is always very expensive and sweet to use.

After eating I bath and I decided to come write something thing.
