Unquenchable Desires: The Allure of Greed

First and foremost, I appreciate all those spending their precious time going through this content, thank you everyone of you. Also to @sahmie for finding time to organize this great contest for we to be able to to differentiate and also in the same face identify between Greed and Ambition.

Knowing what Greed is all about, what do you think is the difference between ambition and greed?

Greed is a selfish desire of having something alone, not thinking of others. Especially money, food, and other material things as have been explained vividly on the first part of this contest.

Ambition is the desire to accomplish or achieve a specific goal.

Having known what greed and ambition are all about, the are various differences between the both, here are the differences;

• The first to put in mind when talking about Greed is that it has excessive desire of having something over than one needs or deserve while Ambition is has a strong desire of get what is need at a particular point in time

• Greed is in conjunction with material things while Ambition is in line with fame or power

• Greed is a selfish desire while Ambition is a generosity desire

• Greed is a self-service while Ambition serve as a purpose

• Greed is always leads to a negative life and bad behavior while Ambition always stand at the positive side.

• Greed motivate a person to hard less or never work at all while Ambition motivate a person to work more harder in other to achieve higher

Can greed ever be a positive force, or is it always destructive?

Greed can never be a positive force, it is always destructive because it can cause various harm to other people's living around or even to the society as as a whole, taking other properties just to own them all with a selfish interest can result to conflict and can take lives, blood shared, hatred, can inflict others and also results to bad societal outcome.

How does greed affect relationships and trust among people?

Greed can affect relationships in a very large way indecent that if care is not taken it can lead to separation. The desire to have more for selfish interest in a relationship can spark arguments, breed resentment, depression, and even lead to relationship breakdowns,it can lead to maladaptive behaviour patterns such as gambling, trickery and even theft which can as well bring disgrace to the relationship and it can kill the trust in relationships for each others. There are several disadvantages of greed not only in relationships but also to the family, society, and even nation as a whole and it can only work on the negative side of life, there is no positive act of greed, all what greed have to gain is for selfish purpose and leads to several cases that doesn't end well rather it's ends in sorrows and lot more which are likely to them (tragedy).

This can affect the trust of a husband from wife, because act of greed will always work with tricky lifestyle, stealing, hoarding, lies and lot of other unsatisfied lifestyle which can lead to depression or despair to the wife and this can lead to argument, fight, quarrels, and the present of trustworthiness will not be available anymore and it can affect the relationship in a very bad condition even to the family (children) as a whole. The right thing to be done is to get ride of the so called GREED because it is only for destruction and negative reaction.

Do you think greed is a natural human instinct, or is it something that is learned?

Yes, greed is part of human instinct, we are all greed and selfish in our heart but mostly sure that, we ourselves can only control the level of our greediness to some extent. Some people can also imitate others just because of other people's greed in the past, so many can just decide to take opportunity of the time they may have or by foreseeing the future and how it may be difficult to live after the opportunity may have pass, and also fear of financial struggle or loss, all this can manifest itself as a need to accumulate more money and prize.

Have you ever witnessed or experienced the negative effects of greed in your own life?

Yes, several times I have been witnesses over certain bad or negative effects of greed and it always ends in tragical conditions, such as death, sorrows, pains and lot more. This always happens in an unexpected way, which will later be of regret.

Conclusion

A person at work who receives rewards for the hard work of others, who takes larger share of others sweat and suffering, it maybe money or prize for sales, even if he didn't actually do anything to earn it, this is the full explanations of what greed is really talking about.
