The Diarygame Friday 25th November 2022: Attending My Only Brother's Traditional Marriage!

How is your week going? I trust you are just great 😃 I thank the Almighty for his Grace, today I would love to share with you how I spent last Friday... It was a good day full of fun activities, stay tuned as I relate.

Morning Hours:

As usual, I woke up early, and I, first of all, thanked God for his unmerited kindness towards me, and his protection during the night. I cleaned up and then prepare breakfast for my family. Fridays are my curation day, and the account is supposed to be 100% by 11:30 AM so I used that early morning hour to prepare my country Rep's report, I posted it before I began with curation.

Afternoon Hours:

I was curating posts during the early hours of the Afternoon, I first of all reviewed each post, checking for steemexclusivity, bit bot, plagiarism, and club status before I voted on a post, and I supported good comments too.

I paused curating around 1 PM and prepared for my younger I paused curating around 1 PM and prepared for my younger brother's traditional marriage, after bathing I went to a seamstress to get my dress, and there I got a shocker the lady didn't sew the dress I suppose to wear, I was very angry, but then I couldn't do anything than going back home to find something else to put on. We waited for my kids to be back from school by 2:30 PM. I shower and dressed them up we left at 2:50 PM The occasion was scheduled to start by 3:30 pm.

From Uyo city to my sister-in-law's family compound takes us 35 minutes. We were warmly welcomed by our inlaws, they invited us in and entertain us, first with garden eggs and fried groundnuts, then jello rice and soup.

The main occasion kick-started immediately with the introduction of both parents and family members.

Then the wife's to be spokesman now asked our own spoke man what we wanted that we've come they entertain us, so what again? Our family spoke person then told them that we came to marry their first daughter by name Blessing Jones. They demanded to see the husband-to-be, so my brother came out,

everyone was clapping for him, gosh he was so gorgeous. Note my brother has paid the bride price before now. He was asked to give wine and transfer to bring his wife to be, he did this and his wife was brought out. She was the true definition of beauty 😍!

The Main Tradition:

Wine 🍷 was poured into a class and given to my brother to take his wife-to-be and show my parents if they'll accept her as their daughter-in-law. My brother, first of all, kneel before my father, gave him a glass of wine, and declare his intention, my father approved of their relationship and blessed them and drink the wine, he remain for him to drink with his wife-to-be. He did the same with my Mom, and she approves of their marriage and blessed them too.

Now, it was the wife's turn to show her husband-to-be to her parents, and wine 🍷 was poured into class for her, she then kneels before her father and told him that she brought the wine to show him the man she will love to marry, her father drank it and bless them. She did the same with the mother, oh my her mother was crying 😭 she's gonna miss her first daughter but she approves their marriage and blessed them. That was all! next was taking photography.

Then the parent was given her gifts, we left their village at 6:10 pm and went straight to my father's house where merriment continues... We left my dad's house at 8:00 PM.

Reaching home I showered and also bathed my baby and then I continued with curation, I was done by 11 PM and retired for the day. This was how I spent my day, it was full of joy and I'm so happy for my only bro. The grand occasion is coming up on the 10th of December 2022. So stay tuned!!!
