Thediarygame Friday, June 09 2023: A Visit To My Elder Sis ❤️

Hello Friends!

I trust your weekend is going on well! I'm jollying over here, yeah it's gonna be a long weekend because Monday will be a public holiday in Nigeria. I want to share how I spent yesterday with you, it was a wonderful day and what makes it special is that I visited my Elder Sis ❤️ who's in another Local Government, it's been months since I've seen her, so I was so happy to meet her.

My kids are on mid-term break so I slept till 6 in the morning, getting up I carry out house chores then boil their bathing water, hubby bathed them, and then we have our morning worship and breakfast together 💪

My baby woke up by 8:30 in the morning so I feed and bathed her, I also plait her hair, she doesn't like plaiting, she used to cry but I don't have any other option for air to enter her head. The hair looks good on her.

I later helped my kids with their holiday homework, and I also made a collage to enter a contest in WOX, then we got prepared by 2 in the afternoon to leave for my sister's place in Ikot Ekpene LGA Akwa Ibom State, and we saw one of my hubby's friends on our street while we were about to leave, he just came back from the state and that was my first time of meeting him, though we normally talk on the phone. He dashes me 10k which is approximately 76 Steems with the current rate of Steem to Naira. I was so happy 😊!

From Uyo to Ikot Ekpene LGA is an hour's drive, we went to the filling station first to buy fuel ⛽ goodness 5k fuel which is 38 Steems is 8.3 litters fuel at 600 per liter this is not funny at all, I mean we have the crude oil why are we buying at high cost? This has affected the prices of other commodities and raised the cost of living, well the masses don't have voice over here, I just pray may God continues to sustain us.

It's my first time to visit my sis since she relocated to this place and since she got married, so I was enjoying the ride taking notes of places I've not seen before like the Federal Government College, Ikot Ekpene. It's one of the big and well-known schools in our state, and that was my first time seeing the school.

Rain was drizzling on our way and the kids dozed off, we arrived by 3:30 pm, and my sister was super excited to see us!
She welcome us well, she gave us palmy and groundnut to cool down. And she also prepares one of our local delicacies, Usong ikpong for us. We really enjoyed ourselves.

After the refreshments we have a deep conversation with my sister, we shared our challenges, and married life with one another, finally it was time to leave because the night was about to fall she gave my kids a wrapper, and they were so happy, they asked me to sew it right away for them haha 😂. The wrapper is nice, we called it Ankara and it's of quality and I like it.

We bought bread 🍞 at food affairs fast food while coming back, and we reached home by 8:30 PM, I was tired so I just showered, and feed my baby her siblings already slept so I retired for the day. This was my day!
