My Neighborhood Watch #24 - Reporting Events Around us

Good day steemiams, here I am once again with my report on the current happenings in the city of Port Harcourt where I reside.

Black Friday is a specific time in the year towards the beginning of the Christmas season where you see amazing discounts on a variety of products ranging from electronics, fashion and beauty products, smart phones, home appliances and many more. During this period, many retail outlets drops off special offers, flash sales, mega hunts and huge discounts on their products.

As we approach the end of the month of November and the beginning of the Christmas shopping season. I have observed several supermarkets, shopping malls and business outlets both online launching their black Friday offers. Individual are now in a rush to shop and purchase as much as they can this period as it will be less expensive. Also, these super markets and business outlets are now very busy, with people trooping in and out , patronizing their special offers and flash sales. I believe it is a win - win for all.

Another thing I have observed is that, as we are getting near and near to the end of the year, especially the end of this month, many organisations, churches, families e.t.c are now into their Thanksgiving. This Thanksgiving is a period where individuals become grateful and shoe appreciation to God, family members and friends through gifts, money or kind.
So many churches are now organizing their Thanksgiving program for the remainder of the year.

In this period, people are grateful to God for keeping them from the beginning of this year till date despite the insecurities in the country, the economic hardship and so on. All around me, I see people who are truly thankful, offering the little they have to God. Families who are thankful to each other, for having their backs always, and friends who are grateful for the people they have in their lives.
