Week1 I commented on post hoping that I will participate but some circumstances distracted me. Second week, I had some challenges too and I said I will write this week 3 on Tuesday and shift my Tuesday activities to Wednesday because in life if you continue to do something as you always do, you will be getting the same result and I don't love it that way.

I love making changes and train myself to meet the standard I want or to achieve my goal. So in this contest that ask all steemiains to promote or showcase Recipe that is Peculiarin their country, I am going to Promote Dog meat. I will also show you how to prepare it and why I love it and why you too should try it out.

I will start by telling you my experience with Dog meat, after that I will explain all the hint of this post. If you are ready let's go 🏂

Before 1990, I have not eaten Dog meat before, If my parents or family friends offer it to me I reject it immediately, why? Because I was afraid of Dog so much that if you say in a loud voice, see Dog, I will run without confirming it. But in 1990 something changed.

I met a friend by name Danson from Akwa Ibom State who asked me one day, Blessing do you love Dog meat? You know nah, I said No. He asked me why, I told him am afraid of Dog and he said okay ooh and left.

From that day till now, I have been eating Dog meat and it is a popular meat in Nigeria and especially Calabar, Badagry and Akwa Ibom State. so now let's go to the contest of the day.

From my story, you already know the recipe I want to introduce to you, It is Dog meat, it is known as 404 meat. You can buy it from so many places where they sell palm wine or palmmy as it is generally called in Nigeria.

Nigeria is among the 3 countries in the whole that consume much of Dog meat. History has it that Chinese were the first to Introduce Dog meat and they promote Dog eating in some of their festivals. Selling of Dog meat is a big business in Nigeria and many people cannot do without it. I remembered a woman telling me 2 weeks ago that she has license in eating Dog meat.

Yes! I can do without it because it is a recipe, I have control over it. The truth is that I can eat every day if I want because it is sold in my city every day even in your house or shop, you will see Oron boys hawking it along the road or in the street but I have special places that I love eating their Dog meat.

• First thing you need to is to go to the market and buy the Dog, then call experience Man to help you to kill the Dog. Some people kill it like Goat while some time the Dog is tied to a strong stick dug into the ground and kill it.

• Step2 is to put fire under it burn the hairs on its body, after burning it, you will use kitchen knife to scrap the body and then use sponge to wash the body until it becomes clean.

• Step3 is to slaughter and chop it to the size you want and wash it very clean and put it inside pot. Two ways to cook it is either you season it first, turn it very well, add small water to cook it or you cook those things first and add the Dog meat in it and cook it very well.
