With the current nationwide situation which we are facing currently is very heartbreaking, all the prices of goods have doubled up and the quantity of many packaged products has reduced. I can now only imagine how things were before, buying cubes of sugar for N50 was 10 cubes plus, but that same amount can get you only 2 cubes.

A small pack of indomie that we bought them for 50 naira is now sold for 150- 200 naira plus, things are getting harder and it will make more sense if the salaries are increased per increase in prices of goods. A private school teacher getting a salary of 12- 15k monthly can't survive in such situation, he feeds himself throughout the month and gets other things for his well-being.

Many sellers and business people have also contributed greatly to this nationwide pandemic, because there's no how someone will grow leaves(afang, vegetable, etc) in the comfort of his home and when someone gets to buy it, they reduce the quantity greatly and say that's how things are. Other businesses or products can be considered based on its location and we all know the price of fuel is high so the cost of transportation to move this goods is very high too.

If you're about to go to the market and get things, you should be really prepared and know that the prices of almost everything has doubled up and the quantity won't be the same.

We just wanted to get foodstuffs, reaching the market we heard complains and murmurs flying in the air, the prices of goods increased daily, which means you can't just make an accurate list for the prices of things you want to buy, you just have to take more money to the market. You can't even try to beat a market price because any form of dulling the price you're even trying to beat will increase.

Reaching the cassava flakes seller, we asked how much for a cup and she responded, saying it's 150naira for a cup, then 1000 naira will get you 8 cups only, now looking at a large family in this current situation, a thousand naira garri can't satisfy them, looking at the quantity this same amount of money would have purchased is so disturbing because it would take the family for 2 days

In my neighborhood the prices of goods has really increased and has brought about a nationwide murmur on what we will face in the coming years. The high cost of transportation has really contributed to the increase in prices, many goods that are brought in from different states through any means of transportation, the price of such products will be increased in order to cover their expenses.

During this school period, the transportation fare used by students daily, when summed up at the end of the week can go a long way in supporting in other areas, even school fees for higher institutions has increased greatly, double of what we used to pay but salaries are still stagnant without any change.
