" To err is Human, to forgive is divine"
Right from our childhood moment the lesson of forgiveness was instilled in us and we cannot get away from it. Hearing little kids saying forgive and forget after they've offended someone was like an anthem those times, I really think the real forgiveness is that of a child because once they have little arguments over their toys or play, they will distant themselves for like 5 minutes then come back and say sorry, or waving their hand to symbolize being sorry and they normalize saying "shey you're still my friend", get back to being good friends again as if nothing ever happened. That's one of the reasons the scripture says we should be like the children. But looking at the characters children posses now, can they still forgive and forget?. Things have totally changed and the children are very exposed to things of the world. Getting back to the contest, I would love to give a clarity on what forgiveness is.

Forgiveness is simply an act of forgiving someone. It means letting go all the grudges held with someone and not bringing in revenge. Many people are fond of forgiving someone physically but his heart is burning with hatred and revenge. Pure forgiveness never brings back revenge, forgiveness forgives and forgets and becomes free again. This quality is very important in everyone's life, we should learn to forgive so that others can also forgive us. It is an act that everyone should have and practice.

"Mistakes are always forgivable, if one has the courage to admit them".
Bruce Lee
No one is above mistakes and it is always necessary to forgive. Forgiveness plays an important role in a relationship, and a healthy relationship is sponsored by understanding and forgiveness .
Forgiveness creates the path for emotional healing: when there's forgiveness in a relationship it tends to heal all emotions and make one feel better. Forgiveness can help bring back those emotions these partners possessed .
It helps improve one's mental health: to improve our mental health one can forget about grudges and hatred and introduce forgiveness, which will help maintain and improve one's mental health. This will help keep a good relationship, when someone's mental health is at peace the person will be more focused.
It brings trust and positivity in a relationship: Forgiveness in a relationship grows trust and positivity, letting go of all the negativity in one's mind and leaving behind doubt can lead to a strong relationship.

I have faced challenges in forgiving a person, but I just let it go and I always look at myself as if I was in that shoe, what will I expect from the person, won't it be better if the person just forgives and forget. With all these thoughts running, I just let go and forgive.

Forgiveness had helped improve the relationship amongst friends. We were given an assignment to submit in school, which was to be submitted on a Friday morning, I had something very important to attend that day and I knew I want be able to come to school, so I had to rush down to finish my assignment on Wednesday night, I burned the night, and it was an assignment of two foolscap. I was able to finish it that night and on a Thursday, I was able to meet with the course rep. So I gave it to one of my friend to help me submit, since I won't be around. Coming the next day, he told me he forgot to submit mine, the first question that came to my mind which I asked him was, did you submit yours? and he said yes. I was not so okay with it, but I took it as a mistake and collected the assignment, I didn't let bring any form of hatred, I continued talking to him as normal friends we are. But now he has been helping me in signing attendance and also helping me out with some assignments.. it shows how important forgiveness is in once life, you might not see it now.

This two statements are intertwined together, you can't forgive without love, and forgiving someone shows that you love the person. I agree with those two terms and it can be used interchangeably.
I invite @davimarkgeorge @johnmitchel and @godswillokon to take part
You’ve really made a very valid point here talking on forgiveness using children as an example and the injunction from the holy scriptures. If we all can be like children in forgiveness, I think the world will be a better place for us to live in. I also agree with you that you can’t love a person without forgiving them and forgiveness is needed to foster a beautiful relationship because we all err.. to err is really human
