Greetings friends of Steemit and Steem4Nigeria
It's always exciting to make post in a community like Steem4Nigeria. Before I start I would like to invite two fellow Steemians @zulbahri and @chiagoziee to participate in the contest.
In my earlier post I reported about how local football players are taking a backseat due to the incorporation of international players in teams of Indian Supper League (ISL).
Just four days ago the Derby match East Bengal club defeated Mumbai City FC. This is good news for not only for Supporters but also for the players of Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Jamie Maclaren the Australian World Cuper who scored in the debut appearance at last Derby math in Kolkata against East Bengal. So he is determined to score against East Bengal in the next Derby knowing the weakness of the defence line of rivals.
In the meantime East Bengal FC has declared that Richard Salis of Venezuela's signed for them as a replacement of Madhi Talal. Though he has not participated in any match after October 2024. However he had played more than 250 matches in Club Football. He also played against Nymer the Silva Santosh Junior in 2021 Copa America.
In addition, Richard Salis East Bengal forward became strong but the defence line up is a matter of concern in the Derby match.
Mohan Bagan is on the top of the league list and has acquired 32 points out of 14 matches winning 10 matches and losing only two matches. They scored 29 goals and conceded 13 goals.
East Bengal is positioned at 11 th acquired only 14 points playing same no of matches. They scored only 16 goals and conceded 20.
So potion wise also East Bengal is under pressure and Mohan Bagan is with the upper hand.
However now the centre of attraction is Richard Salis. It is expected that with his experience and skills will be of great enthusiasm in the teammates.
