I have lots of crazy experiences with drivers and passengers after travelling to 22 states and travelling more than 50 times. Literally, I've come in contact with lots of people and maybe even spirits.
The place I've been to the most is Uyo from Edo State and from Port Harcourt. From Edo to Uyo, you must go through EAST. So, I've had the most issues with EAST DRIVERS.
Last year, I left Auchi (my then base) as early as 5am to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State and before the bus got filled up and the whole arrangement, it was 7am. It took two hours.
At exactly 7am, we left Auchi for Onitsha and at 11am that day, we reached Onitsha. I was very happy that I was going to reach Uyo maybe before 7pm. I never knew that premium stress was waiting for me on my way to Uyo from Onitsha.
When I got to Onitsha, I was looking for Akwa Ibom Transportation Company (AKTC) when a random transportation Company (I don't even know the Transportation Company's name) asked me to travel with them. (I take responsibility for this very mistake).
I was carrying two big bags so I decided to follow the available vehicle instead of looking for the one I have been familiar with.
When I got there, I asked them as many times as I can remember if they were going to Uyo and they said YES. I tried asking the other passengers and they said I was talking and asking too much, so I decided to keep quiet.
Could you believe that these people were not going to Uyo? They stopped us at Imo State and added us to another bus going to Aba. I was so pissed because I paid them for Uyo. I was asked by the Aba Driver to pay for my luggages again.
The time wasted and the extra money I had to pay for my luggages was too much.
When we got to Aba, the same thing happened. I got to Uyo at 1am the next day.
It wasn't a beautiful experience. It was awful. I know we are all looking for money but doing it in the wrong way isn't cool at all.
You literally put people's lives into danger. How about the extra money they get to spend? How about the time wasted? 💔
I remember someone who was totally stranded. I felt for her when she was crying.
A place in Aba. The photo was taken by me but it wasn't taken on the day of the above experience.

MODs Comment/Recommendation:
Traveling sometimes does not go as planned, that's why is good to have extra cash in case of any misfortune. I'm happy you got to your destination.
