Travelling is Beautiful.

I personally think that travelling is therapeutic. Travelling heals the soul and the mind. It's something you should try this year. Don't tell me that you are busy with work. Spare some time, dear.

It's beautiful to take days off work and relax for some time. It could be three days off or even a week but just take a few days off and relax.

I know you'll be contemplating on the money. I know, I know, I understand but trust me, 100,000 naira could sponsor a three day trip. Let's tag it a ‘low-budget’ trip, huh?

This is about cutting your coat according to your size. Traveling doesn't have to be outside the country or state too. You could visit a nearby town or city, book a room and have a good time alone. You could reflect on your life and have that perfect silence moment.

I remember some time around last year when I was down because of a heartbreak and I decided to visit a nearby state.

My then base, Edo State, shares a boundary with Kogi State and I embarked on a trip. I tried water transport for the first time too and it was everything to write home about.

I got a room for 8,000 naira per night and I stayed for four days. It was beautiful, trust me.

A friend was in town and I told her to take me around. We had a good time, tried local food and created beautiful memories.

It was a whole lot of fun and the whole activity was bliss. For days, I thought about it and I decided to do more.

In total, I've been to 22 states in Nigeria and I'll be visiting the rest this new year.

Going around the country opens your eyes to how beautiful the nation is. The nation isn't just beautiful, it has beautiful people, culture, and food too.
