Hey guys, I hope you guys have a nice day. I find joy whenever you dive into my news feed for creative content like the one you are about to read now. I love design; that’s why my cover photo portrays A passionate graphic designer. I have been designing for 3 years now, and in this regard, I hope to be your best graphics teacher today. Today, I just want to share one of my best logo design projects, the process, and the final design. Trust me, if you read to the end, you will learn something new.
WHAT IS A LOGO?

Many designers define logos based on their own perspective. For me, a logo is a visual symbol or mark that represents a brand, which may be an organization or a company. Logos help distinguish a brand from competitors, which may aid in identification. Most times, logos consist of colors, typography, and different shapes that help escalate brand identity. To create a unique and visually appealing logo, one must do the following:

• Understand your brand.

• Brainstorming

• Sketching

• Vectorization

• Choose your color.

• Choose a font.

• Preview

• Mockup Utilization

It seems difficult, right? Don’t worry, I will break it down for your understanding. Follow my steps on how I created a logo for Evydes Brand.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR BRAND

One of the first things to create a unique logo is brand insight before rushing to sketch or vectorize your design. Applying this to my project, I got to know that Evydes is a hair brand that gives its services to individuals who are looking for premium-quality hair products, and they have an online and offline shop for selling their products. They also consider home delivery as one of the ways they help convey hair products to their customers. Let's dive into the next step, which is brainstorming.

BRAINSTORMING

We have different tools that can help describe your brand name; a good example is thesaurus.com. While brainstorming, try to generate or create 10–15 best words that describe your brand and use them to guide your brand. Application: I develop 15 words that best describe the Evydes brand ethos and that will guide me during the entire logo design process.

SKETCHING AND REFINING

It's now time to create some rough sketches. Why is sketching important? Sketching helps you start your best ideas with regard to your logo project. It brings the best out of you, and you will have the opportunity to refine your ideas. I explore ideas by sketching on paper, which I later picked as the one that best describes my idea. I also refine my sketch to something more meaningful that ties back to the Evydes brand core value.

VECTORIZATION

It is now high time to bring my design to the computer, and this will show how each individual element of your logo is organized and positioned properly. You can choose to use any vectorization app to create your logo, but Adobe Illustrator is recommended. At this point, you will need some key tools in Adobe Illustrator, like pen tools, direct selection tools, curvature tools, and type tools.

CHOOSE YOUR COLOR

One point to note: while adding a color, you don’t need to choose multiple colors for your logo; instead, making everything harmonized based on the design principle is the core way to succeed as a logo designer. So at this point, I chose a color palette that best describes the Evydes brand.

CHOOSE YOUR FONT

It's now time to combine your logo with text to make it stand out. Before choosing a font, you must consider your business brand because your font says a lot about your business. We have different types of font c lassifications: sanserif font, serif font, decoration, script font, slap serif font, handwritten font, black letter, and monospace. You can choose any font that best describes your brand. At this point, I choose the season font, which is classified as a serif font. I also find the position that best creates that appealing outlook.

MOCKUP UTILIZATION

Mockup help bring your design to life virtually. Mockups provide a visual representation of how your design will appear in reality. After spending so much time on this logo process, I ultimately employed mockups to assist me envision how it would seem in reality.
