Hello distinguish ladies and gentlemens,
JOSEPH AFEN:ASPIRAN FOR THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT.

My name is Joseph Afen. I am currently working with Steemit as a content writer. I so much love impacting the lives of people positively at wherever places I find myself. My hobbies include writing, reading, impacting people lives, listening to music and learning new things. I am contesting for the office of president and I humbly need your generous support to make things better for our dear country NIGERIA.

The current state of Nigeria.

Currently, Nigeria is face with so many challenges which is a hiderance to Development in our beloved country and if quick response is not taking then it will be so bad for our dear country NIGERIA.

Nigeria which is known to be the giant of Africa's is seen today as a torrrist country where her citizens no longer sleep with their eyes close. The population of Nigerians has resulted in so many issues that is confronting the peace of her citizens day in day out.

Everyday new problems normally arises including political issues, traffic congestion in cities like Lagos, porthacourt and Abuja.

In the northern part of Nigeria violence is what is perpetrating by a group of people called Boko Haram, which is fighting for Sharia law. Just recently at as 5th June, 2022 a group of unknown gun men entered inside a Catholic church were peoples are worshipping God and kill so many of them for no reasons. Is this the type of country that you and I want?.

The current state of NIGERIA is the issue of insecurities because Nigerians no longer live their lives in peace. Everywhere is getting hot with so many crime rate even in the eastern part of Nigeria there is also a securities traits.

In the eastern part of Nigeria a group known as BIAFRA are fighting for referendum. The organization has made it a law that they will not be going out for works on Monday.

As for the Boko Haram, thousands of souls had been wasted by this group of peoples. Children has been kidnapped and a lot of Christians across the northern NIGERIA has been killed. Despite, the fact that Nigeria is regarded as the giant of Africa's it's of no doubt that its current state is more bigger than the title of giant of Africa's.

The current state of Nigeria is so bad in such a way that even while writing this post tears 😭 were coming out of my eyes. Today our children's are out of schools all in the name of ASUU and ASUP Strike which has lasted for more than 5months. This is an issue that needs urgent intervention. Instead the government are busy playing politics with the lives of her citizens their usually called leaders of tomorrow. Ohh God we need leader like me that can change this scenario that Nigerians are facing today.

Even as the giant of Africa's we are still face with a high rate of unemployment. As a means of surviving, many talented and brain box youths have turned themselves to Yahoo Yahoo (internet frauds) boys and girls because of unemployment.

Currently, as NIGERIA 2023 elections is fast approaching, corruption has been the trending issue in the country where political leaders now still money in order to contest for political positions. The history of Nigeria politics is full with corruption.

Ooh my beloved ladies and gentlemen let's not let ethnicity to kill us. Ethnicity is also the current state of NIGERIA since 2023 elections is at the corner. The HAUSA, YOUROUBA, IGBO and EFIK all want their own person to rule Nigeria without minding if the person can deliver Nigeria or not.

Why do you think you will be suitable for the position of a president

This position as a president of NIGERIA, is one of the most important office in Nigeria that can change the scenario of Nigeria for better. As the president is incharge of all the activities that is happening in a country being responsible for providing jobs, securities, safeguarding the interest of workers in the country, bringing international Investors which will employ millions of youths.

Furthermore, I Joseph Afen strongly believe that the keys to Nigeria issues can be solve when the right things are put in places. I am 100% sure that I can make Nigeria a better country when elected as a president.

The issues of our dear students who are the leaders of tomorrow been out of schools will stop because I will make sure that my government takes care of staffs and students needs where I will provide all the basics infrastructure that is need for academic research.

I will make sure that within a one year of me being in office

will stop because I know the right approach to take since my motto is impacting the lives of people's positively.

Peace is what I do seek out for and not conflict. To this I am therefore seeking your generous vote and support even as I offer my services to you as a regular content writer in Steemit where I make my audiences happy.

I also strongly believe that I have the skills and abilities to function very effectively as a president of this great nation if I am elected. During my youthful age both in secondary and higher institution, I had serve as "Departmental president of Accounting dept, where I then rose to assistance director of finance in SUG level.

Before I left the office I was awarded as one of the best appointee who never took bribe nor steal any money from the school treasurery account. My service was very accurate with no sentiment and everyone one was wishing to see me in the office again as their director of finance.

Professionally, I am a young graduate whose brain is still functioning well and more of active, ready to solve society problem,and that of people. Finally, to this I humbly believe that with the experience of leadership and the type of office that I had handles before couple with the fact that I am a fresh graduate, I believe I can brings a lot of positive changes to Nigeria as the president.

The good citizens of Nigeria are facing a lot of issues despite, how dedicated they are. A lot is happening in the country and these are problems that needs urgent intervention if not the citizens of Nigeria will completely turn themselves to armsmen and women's just as what was experienced during the time of #endsars.

However, I have been able to identify the most pressing problems of my fellow dear citizens which I strongly believe their will be happy to see a positive change in most of the problems below.

Problem of internal land Conflicts:

The citizens of Nigeria are facing serious land Conflicts and this is a very big traits to our beloved citizens. In almost all the state across Nigeria you will be hearing of border disputes and that is how our citizens are killing themselves for over a piece of land the we will all die and live one day.

So many lives, properties have been sacrificed as a result of fighting for land ownership causing harvoc between communities, and I strongly believe if this problem is not address quickly many more lives and properties will be wipe aways.

We can see that land ownership is a serious problem that is lingering among our citizens. When you go to Western NIGERIA, Eastern Nigeria you will be hearing of Fulani hedmens taking their cows inside people's farm and from their fight will begin. At the South part of Nigeria must precisely my dear state (Cross River), a lot of youths are Killing themselves as a result of land ownership disputes, issue than can be solve through border settlement.

Solution:

If elected as the president of Nigeria, I will make sure that many f the land dispute which have been killing the lives of our citizens and destroying their properties, would be resolve immediately as soon as possible to avoid any further Killing and destruction of properties.

I will make sure that this problem is completely solved by restructuring our boarders and create a boarders taskforce teams that will be securing all the boarders across the 774 local government council that we have in Nigeria.

Problem of Terrorism

Terrorism is a major problem that is a hiderance to our dear country Nigeria. Terrorism has driven away foreign Investors, every week in Nigeria you will hear of massacres just as what happened on Sunday at Ondo state.

Torrorism has escalated to so many groups in Nigeria, such as Boko Haram, banditry, unknown gunmen, Fulani hedmens,and many more which is a very big traits to our citizens.

Terrorism are well-known known to be a destroyers, and in some part of our dear country Nigeria where terrorism is taking place things he been so damage, that even people's cannot go their farms again which is a serious trait to our economy . Students cannot go to school, their schools has been destroyed.

Solution

The solution to terrorism's is to first know what the people's are fighting for. I will make sure that I give a listen ears as to the cry of the citizens, find out what their problems is.

I will make sure that all those that advocate for one supremacy over another tribes be sanction and warned first. This is because terrorism and religious fights start from when people are advocating for tribe's, supremacy over another tribes. Instead of contributing for one Nigeria that will bring peace, progress and unity Amon the citizens of Nigeria.

To this I will go further by creating jobs that will keep the citizens of Nigeria busy. There is this saying that goes this way "an idle hands are the devil's workshop". You can find more understanding to this word in Proverb 16:27-29.

People's do think of commiting evils,and a lot of crimes when their are unemployed (idle), and to this I believe giving them jobs will totally bring the problem of terrorism to a lasting end.

Problem of Unemployment:

In Nigeria millions of citizens are unemployed despite the fact that their are graduate but still yet no jobs, nor support for entrepreneurship. Unemployment in Nigeria is fast growing up day by day like a virus.

Due to bad government, economy recession, the rate of unemployed youths are increasing everyday. Thousands of employees are losing their jobs due to economy recession.

Today, if a job vacancy should be open now you will see that over 1.6millions Nigeria will apply for it whereas the company is only looking for 2,000 people out of the 1.6millions that applied.

Thousands of students are graduating from schools every year with no moral nor entrepreneurship skill to become self-employed citizens. A lot of graduate don't acquire skills that are useful enough during their time in school instead their were too busy with reading several textbooks so their can pass their examinations.

This problem of Nigerian students graduating from school without been grendel with practical, skills etc is killing our graduate because their cannot think of creating jobs that will employ thousands of youths.

Solution

Since unemployment is fast rising like a virus in Nigeria. The solution is that everyone should have a "back up plan" should Incase he/she didn't get is most preferable jobs there should be an alternative for that person.

If am elected as the president what I will do as the solution to unemployment in Nigeria is to create some jobs and also an acquisition school (Entrepreneurs school) that will teach my beloved citizens how to be productive since school provide us with theoritcal information. Like in China today almost all their citizens has something their are doing inrespective of they population.

Thousands of jobs ministries, agencies, parastatal, manufacturing companies etc should all be created and as well there should be and acquisitions centre both in secondary and tertiary institutions that will teach students how to become self-employed instead of teaching students how to work for money. If all this can be put in places the high rate of unemployed citizens will reduce to minimal.

Finally, to this I will make sure that all those that are due for retirements should get retire so as to employ others to fill their vacuum.

Problem of Educational system:

Currently, thousands of students has been out of school since February due to ASUU and ASUP strike. Most of this students usually feel depressed to even attend classes because of the unemployment rate that is eating us up.

Nigeiria Educational system is a very big challenge to her citizens, thousands of students graduated from school without learning practical skills because of lack of laboratories.

In some schools their lecture hall aren't conducive enough for learning at every offices that you go, all you will be hearing is noise pollution that is coming out from a generator.

A lot of facilities has been aboundon, no scholarship like before. First class graduates has to place to engage themselves, no support from the government anymore.

Staffs welfare are nothing to talk about which is part of the major reason why there is usually strikes year in year out. A lot of bribery and corruption between students and lecturers which is Killing our educational sectors.

No Wonder you will see some graduate that cannot defend themselves when they are called to do so. The old glory of our Educational system is no more. In some institutions if you don't have money for sorting poor grade is yours, buy if you have good grade is yours.

Thousands of Nigerians no longer value education as our parents used to value education because of how the system is now. I pray God help us to conquer.

Solution

If I am elected as a president, I will make sure that educational sector receive the highest budget. If our Educational sector can be provided with enough funds the issues of strike here and there and that of bribery between lecturers and students will stop.

Providing funds for maintenance of laboratories and facilities yearly will also go a long way in solving the problems is students graduating from school with getting practical skills.

I will provide a free basic education with a self and conducive learning environment for both primary and secondary since every child is an entitle to an education (learning).

I will create an agencies that will be incharge of all the laboratories and acquisitions centres in each of the school across the 36 states if the federation.

Do you have any innovations you are bringing in?.

Yes, I have two innovations to bring to the citizens of Nigeria. One of the innovation that i will bring is to Build and Entrepreneurship hub centre. It will be a place that will train, join Investors and entreprenures together so they can do something great for Nigeria.

It will be a centre where business ideas are share. My second Innovation is in the area of technology. I try my possible best to make sure that millions of Nigerians are train in science and technology.
