My Neighborhood Watch #78 - Reporting Events Around us

Hello Steem4nigeria, I believe we all are doing perfect. It's a pleasure participating in a contest My Neighborhood Watch #78 - Reporting Events Around us organized and published by xkool24 here in steem4nigeria community.

As it is natural and normal for both good and bad things to happen every day, life is full of ups and downs and each day comes with its own set of problems and joy. Sometimes we do experience moments of happiness and success like a compliment or achieving a goal while some times we face difficulties and a very severe moment like setbacks and unexpected changes.

These events whether positive or negative are all part of the flow of life and nothing can stop how it supposed to be or happened we lack the ability to predict what will happen in the next hours, though all these shapes our experiences and teaching us valuable lessons.

Today I am going to share with you the current situation in my environment and how it affects the residents of this environment as well as entrepreneurs from outside my locality.

The above picture is the clear description of the calabar Itu high way break down which I earlier wrote about 6months ago, why do I have to write about it again?. For the past months, the calabar Itu high way road was under construction base on the Erosion channel idea.

It may seems the road was in any way inoperable but not, the road was in a good condition though was demolished to accomplish the culvert which was supposed to passed under the calabar Itu high way. The idea was to convey the Erosion in the environment to a direct medium.

The intention of conveying the Erosion to it proper direction was a good and appeal idea, at the long run turn being another problem to the residents of this environment and travelers who often use this road to travel as the Nsik construction company delays the construction more than expected.

The reason for the construction delay still remain questionable as residents and citizens are curious to know could still delay as there is no prove or sign of the project concluding successfully anytime soon. This has cause damage in various aspects.

As the highway connects Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, the poor road condition is affecting economy and other activities in the area because business travelers face challenges due to the road inoperable that has been neglected so I speak.

The above image is our biggest market know as Itam market, it is a popular market know to occupy variety of goods and stocks. If you take a deep view of the above picture you will observe the the market as show isn't crowded and busy as usual to some of us who are familiar with the market.

It happened because there is no road for others business men and women outside the state specifically Calabar, to penetrate. You can imagine the frustration and lost it cause to not just the people surrounding but to the state as well.

While the road isn't in good condition, riders made the neighboring street tracks an option to transit marketers to the market. Conveying all the motorcycles, tricycles, cars and even heavy duty machine to use road as option. But turn off escalating the whole situation as those vehicle damaged the road.

The road became muddy and even pedestrians find it hard to move even in their street, vehicles who are not aware the road damage do drive in the mud and get stuck for some days before finding their way out.

All we seek now is for the calabar Itu high way construction to get done as soon in other to help reduce the stress and bring back the situation to normalcy. Thanks you all for your time, I believe this post is informative.
