Today I will be discussing on the local way of producing palm oil and I believe that you will find value as you read on.

Local way of producing Palm Oil

It has been a long time seeing how palm oil are being processed. Today the method of producing palm oil is becoming more relevant and even more simple.

The last time I was involved in palm oil production, we used machine to dril out the oil after cooking and pounding the palm fruit. One thing to note is, you should be prepare to work because it involved a lot of work.

On the nutshell, since we don't have machine to process it, we have enjoyed our own local way to produce palm oil.

Procedure of producing palm oil:

• Once the palm fruit has been cut, allow it to be solve in order for it to be okay for removal.

• Cook it and pound it with local mortar. After this stage, you have to wash it by separating the chaff from the kennel while the oil will flow up.

This is the way to remove the oil over time before boiling/ cooking the oil for it to form the real oil which you are looking for.

The procedure takes time as the night has met us while the rain was falling seriously. At the process of cooking the oil, the oil got burnt! Note at this stage, you were supposed to be checking after the oil to avoid burning.

It's not as if its that bad but the oil still have value. The reason for this is because of the too much of rain drop, which made us to run inside while the oil was cooking on the fire. However, we had seen that this process is simple and cheaper to make use of.

I have also discovered that this local way of producing palm oil needs a lot of time and concentration.

In conclusion, the procedure adopted was a good way because it removed cost and minimize stress.

I would encourage anyone who want to produce palm oil to try this method.
