A warm greeting to my fellow community members. Hope your day is going well. It’s been a while I posted but I am finally here. Being in this community has been inspiring.

Today I will be introducing a topic in Physics. This is quite a familiar topic and usually gives issues if not properly taught. I will be breaking it down bits by bits so you can easily understand and follow up.

For today’s topic, it’ll be "Technology, Working on, Energy and Power”. This is one of the basic topics in Physics and the formulas need to be learnt correctly to be able to solve questions. I will treat them one after the other, showing their definition, formula and SI unit in the subtopics.

Work

Work is the force that is applied to move a body across a certain distance. When force is applied on a body, the body is moved in the direction of the force.
W=Fs
where W= Work
F= Force
s= distance
In Physics, Work may also be defined as the product of force and perpendicular distance.

The SI unit for Work is Joules(J) or Newton meter(Nm).

Technology

Is the application of scientific knowledge, skills and Methodologies in solving the many problems facing the world practically.

Energy

Energy is the ability and the capacity of a body to do work. There are various kinds/types of energy. They include;

• Solar energy
• Heat energy
• Nuclear energy
• Sound energy
• Mechanical energy(Kinetic energy and potential energy)
• Chemical energy, etc

The SI unit of Energy is Joules(similar to Work)

Note: Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but can be converted from one form to another. This is the Law of Conservation of Energy.

Power

Power is the rate of doing work. It is the work done per unit time.

P=W/T

But W=Fs

.•. P=(Fs)/T
*(s/T)= Speed

Therefore; P= FS
where P=Power
W= Work
T= Time
F= Force
s= distance
S= Speed

The SI unit for Power is Watt. Or Joules per second

nergy stands as the foreman. Without Energy,,, there's no power, there's no work and there's no Technology.

Without technology, there's no work, no power and no energy applied because Technology is the application of scientific knowledge either through research or methodologies in solving practically, problems facing man. So without it, there's no form of energy.

Without power, work is not possible, energy is not applied and Technology isn't used or applied.

Without Work, what's the use of the three because it's the three we use in doing work.

Energy ----Technology ---- Power ----Work
