✅ In your understanding, who is considered a mother, and what are the duties of a mother?

A Mother is a female parent and in many cases, she is the one that gave birth to the child. If there was an adoption, the mother is the female in the couple who is taking care of the child. A woman who get Married to a man who already have children will automatically becomes the stepmother of the children.In the modern world, we have a new type of mother known as a surrogate mother. This is a woman who allows another couple's baby to grow inside her womb.

Excluding the surrogate mother who only cared for the child when the baby was in her womb, all the other mothers have the duty of caring for the child's physical, social and emotional needs. Mothers are to function as primary care givers, providing protection, training, instruction and discipline.
Mothers are often the first know and respond to a child's health and need for food.

Naturally, mothers have what it takes to care for children. Responding to their need for love, affection and attention.

✅ What are some of the sacrifices that mothers make for their children?

Mothers make so many sacrifices for their children, they give up their time, comfort and freedom when caring for their children. The sacrifices is more when the children are young. Mother's also make financial sacrifices to feed, house and cloth their children.

Mother put the need of their children before theirs, giving up careers and othe life opportunities for the sake ot their kids.
When there is little food, mothers feed their children and stay hungry.

✅ How does a mother's love shape a person's character and development?

We learn how to love from the love we feel from our mother, they give us the emotional support on which we build boldness and confidence. We learn how to care, how to be empathetic, how to sacrifice for others, care for others, be kind and compassionate from the love we get from our mother.

A person raised by a single father sees the world in only half of it's true colours. A mother's presence soften the hard touch of a father, creating balance.

✅How can we celebrate and show appreciation for our mothers and their love?

Start by saying thank you. Those words marks the beginning of appreciation. The thank you becomes louder when we express gratitude for the sacrifices made by our mothers and give them due respect.
Helping out around the house is a way of showing appreciation by our action.
Provide financial support and care for their health. Make yourself available and give them gifts. You can't pay back for what they have done, you can only appreciate.
