The Root Of All Evil

Greetings Steemians!

I am delighted to write on this contest organized by @sahmie which talks about the root of all evil. Some people believe that money is the root of all evil, but everyone have his or her perception on the way they use money. But to me money is not the root of evil but lustful act over money destroys the soul.
Money is a blessing from God and an object use in exchange.
Money is not evil but the evil heart of man makes money evil.

Do you think money is really the root of all evil, or do you think it's more about how people use money that can lead to bad things happening?

It's quite outrageous for people,to blame money for their misconduct and irresponsibility. Money to me,is just a tool use in exchange for goods and services. The way you use money reveals your true identity and to some greater extend, if you want to test the character of someone, give him or she money and the order things you are about to research on that person, will be in full display.

Sometimes,I wish money can talk so that money can defend himself to people because anyone that mishandle funds blames money for being evil the reason behind his misfortune.

Can you think of any examples where money has actually done some good, like helping people in need or supporting good causes?

It's uncountable to note how money is useful in the society, especially in the life of a common man. I could remember vividly how an unknown lady dashed to my house crying profusely that her mother is in the hospital dying and the doctor demanded some money for medication before attending to her mother and she was able to pay part of it, and the doctor still insisted to get the remaining balance before attending to the patient, after her explanation I was so overwhelmed and I handed some money to her,and told her to rush to the hospital to safe her mother's life.

I had many scenarios where I gave the almagiris and destitute children some little token in the street and in many cases they said good prayers and thankfulness.
Their are some philanthropist in my community who helped the widows and less privileges from time to time and that goes a long way in building the society.

How do you personally see money in your own life? Do you think of it as a tool to achieve your goals and create opportunities, or do you have a different way of looking at it?

Truly,I see money as a tool to achieving my goals and for creating opportunity in my life and also for affecting the life of others in the society. Normally,we often pray to God to bless us with daily bread and the daily bread means money to solve our daily problems.

Have you ever seen situations where people doing anything for money caused problems or made things unfair?

There are many instances, where I see people doing nasty and crazy things, just for money, especially during elections in my community,I see how people sell their conscience for money that is nothing to write home about and the politicians makes things worse just because they have money to buy their way out. It's unfair because nobody is questioning them.

Conclusion

The Bible says, give to Ceasar what belongs to Ceasar and to God what's God's(Matt 22:21) Therefore, money is for the world, but if you don't belong to the world then you have to use money judiciously by helping the poor ones and those in need.

@kigbubenedict, your reflection on the relationship between money and evil is insightful. Indeed, money itself isn't inherently evil, but rather, it's the intentions and actions of individuals that determine its impact. Your examples of how money has been used for good, like helping those in need and supporting philanthropic efforts, highlight its potential for positive influence in society. Your perspective on money as a tool for achieving personal goals and creating opportunities resonates deeply. Thank you for sharing your thoughts

Thank you so much dear😊I am glad, you find my article meaningful.

Sadly money can't talk, innocent money bears the blame for people negative doings.

Money I will say is not the root of evil at the least because whoever uses money for evil brought that action from the mind.
So can we say the mind is also the root of evil?

The mind is divided into good and bad, that's why we have conscience that judges our actions and way of life. Sadly, some people only listen to the negative side of the mind which is evil, in performing their actions.
Now, negative mind + money =MMS (Mugu money spender)and this kind of people can do anything for money, which includes evil ways of making money.
