The Diary Game // Onboarding A New Steemian // Attending Graduation Event. [09/11/2024]

Greetings guys, happy Sunday to everyone and welcome to yesterday's diary with yours truly. So yesterday was Saturday and I did quite a lot, of course I am going to share it with everyone, why not grab your popcorn let me brief you all how my day went.

My alarm rang by 8am, I woke up that late because I'd worked throughout the previous night and couldn't even sleep early, I think I slept around 5:am Saturday morning and woke up by 8am, just a 3 hour rest and I was up again. My closest friend who lives in Port Harcourt - Rivers State, Which I have been telling about steemit since I joined last month traveled a distance of 135km from Port Harcourt to visit me in Uyo for me to open account for him.

When he arrived my house around 10am, I had already dressed up for my friend's convocation ceremony. I quickly helped him open an account, and his username is @utom, then we proceeded to taking picture then I guided him on how to write his Introduction post.

When I'd finished helping him out, he promised to write his achievement - 1 post later in the day. I was happy having my friend for a long time. I told him to accompany me to the University of Uyo - Nigeria, to grace my friend's graduation ceremony.

MARIAM UKONTIA bagged her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Educational Technology. She is a very intelligent friend of mine, who loves everything that has to do with academics and research. The occasion was fun and colourful. She was delighted seeing me, coming with my friend @utom to celebrate with her achievement. My State Governor also bagged his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Political Science. We took pictures.

We later proceeded to the reception ground where we dinned together with other graduands and invitees, the food, drinks where shared randomly as the whole environment was a funfair. We met new friends, shared academic experiences and exchanged contracts while the DJ was displaying his talent with soft entertainment music for everyone to dance and enjoy.

We stayed there till 6pm, before then I had called one of my poultry farmer friend and transferred money for him to drop the biggest broiler chicken in his farm to my house because I wanted to eat peppersoup rice that night.

When we got to my house by 6:30pm, the poultry farmer did just as I directed him, and I started preparing the dinner immediately with my friend @utom.

Before we finished preparing the food, it was late, since there was electric light, I froze some parts of the chicken so I could use it for stew this Sunday morning for my friend to eat and travel back to Rivers State.
