The Diary Game // Traveling to my village [31:12:2024].

Steemit greetings to all my steemian friends.... A warm welcome to 2025. I hope everyone is doing great? I am doing well also. I am here to drop my first article in the year 2025, in this article, I'm going to share my 31st December, 2024 activities.

I had already made plans to travel to the village to see my family and also celebrate Christmas with them on 31/12/2024. Like every other days, I woke up that morning by 7am, and did the morning devotion before I tidied the house since my family had travelled since 27th December, 2024 for Christmas break.

I didn't buy drinks and some items to take home, so after brushing my teeth and taking my bath, I dressed up and entered the nearby grocery store and bought hot drink and bread. I left motor park by 9am and arrived my home town in the village by 10:30am, a one and half hours drive.

My mother, wife and siblings were so happy to have me, while thanking God for my safe journey, they gave me a warm welcome to the village. My son, Princewill who had been missing me though he used to talk to me through his mum's phone gave me a deep hug, he chorused Daddy Welcome like song, he gisted with me, showed affection and was trying to tell me stories thought I didn't understand some since he is still learning how to speak.

Mum and siblings were so happy to have me in their midst. With smiles upon their faces, they were cooking different kinds of African dishes.

While the food preparation was ongoing, I went to my building project site to see the progress of my building project. I was so impressed by the level I saw the building. It was exactly what the Engineer showed me on the video call we made a day before I travelled. My Engineer is doing a very good job and I appreciated him for his job well done.

I went back to the family house and sat with my siblings and friends who came to see me. We gisted, discussed about our progress in life and that of the family. We dined and wined together. We were happy to eat and drink together after sometimes of staying away from each other because of the nature of our respective jobs that took us to separate locations in the country.

We later assembled in the sitting room for Solemn Assembly where we sang praises to the Lord and prayed for His continuous protection, provision and guardians in 2025 and beyond. After praises and prayers, Mum addressed all of us and gave us the parental advice since we've lost our father some years ago.

Later in the evening, we all went to Church for Cross Over Night service where we praised and worshipped God till 12am. Church members were so excited for crossing over from 2024 to 2025. We all prayed and committed the new year for God to take control in all ramifications.
