What do you think makes a marriage successful?

Alot of things make a marriage successful and one of the major is trust and communication. Trust and communication are the most important things in every marriage. If you trust your partner, you will always believe him or her and you won't always want to have issue with the person.

Also, communication is very important in a relationship. When you are in a relationship with anyone you must try and ensure you always have a steady flow of communication and that helps marriage very well.

Trusting each other and also discussing with each other at all times is what makes the marriage successful. So if a marriage has this two things in place then there won't be an issue again.

How can couples improve communication in their marriage?

To improve communication in marriage couples need to always talk to each other everytime and they are to always have time for discussion. When you always have a discussion with your partner, you will notice that the communication between you will increase.

Also making your spouse your best friend and the one you can rely most on is the best way to improve communication in a relationship. Everytime you talk about things with each other you have greater chances of improving communication.

Discuss the importance of trust in a marriage.

Trust in marriage is very important. As you know trust means believing in your partner. When you both believe in yourself then there will be no issue because what breaks a home faster is distrust. People can come around to scatter a home by bringing false accusation.

When you hear that your spouse did something wrong and you have the believe that your spouse that you know can't do anything of this nature then it means you trust your spouse and issues won't arise in the family.

You can vouch for the person anywhere and anytime and the person will also do same for you because you both trust each other. Issues will hardly arise in such a family setting.

How do couples navigate conflicts in a healthy way?

To navigate conflicts in a healthy way, couples have to learn to communicate effectively. Firstly if an issue arises then the both parties must go and settle it amicable without the interference of a third party.

So this means that if there is any issue, couples are expected to go the room together and then speak to each other as mature adults. They should be able to talk to each other about the incident and resolve it before leaving.

Do you consider distance between spouses and cultural differences a problem in marriage? Why?

Yes, I consider distance and cultural difference as a problem in marriage. When the parties involve in the relationship are not together there is always a room for a third party to set in and that brings a problem in marriage.

Cultural diversity is also a big problem and this is because in places like Nigeria where there are many cultures if you can't speak same language with your partner then you will always feel insecure when you partner speaks a different language and that will cause a problem in the marriage.
