Oh! How I love to be with my diary. I reconciled with my diary in my last diary post... I think I need to apologize this time for bringing this gist very late.
Dear diary,
Am sure you are happy to have me around again.Yes! let me bring you the gist about last week's CDS activity we had. I don't think I can remember the last time I wrote about this or anything related to my national youth service.
I guess I have just been too encumbered with load of activities which are really fighting for my attention. So let's catch up from where I stopped. Smiles.
Was I really excited about the CDS when I woke up? Errm...I guess no. It was as though the CDS came to ruin my day but what do I do since I have taken an oath to serve my Father land.
After having my quiet time, I grudgingly stood up from bed and started making plans on how to meet up with the usual time for CDS which is 9:00. Although the location for our CDS seems to be very favourable this time as it wasn't far from our lodge.
That doesn't mean we won't be penalized for coming late. Our constitution only made a provision of just 15 mins grace after the usual 9:00am. And so I prepared and made my way to the venue to join other corp members in my CDS group.

Oh! did I mention the CDS group I belong to? I guess I didn't. Okay, my group is called SDG's which simple means Sustainable Development Goals This is the where I belong. Before you ask me what CDS means let me just spill it as well.
CDS means Community Development Service. This activity is one of the core activity of the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC). Every corp member is expected to be part of it and that without excuses.

Are you surprised seeing us sweeping? Smiles. Well this is part of what we do, we carry out community service such as sweeping and general cleaning of our environment. Above is the picture of our first location which is the local government Secretariat.
Our mission for the day is to carry out our general cleaning in two location. The Secretariat was the first while the other was the police area headquater in my local government.

As you can see, we got there and did the same cleaning here as well. After the whole cleaning exercise, the senior officer there gave us a token for coming around. He even pleaded with us to bear with them as there weren't having much at hand to appreciate our effort.
We left there around mid day and we all left happily. Oh I think I forgot to mention that I had a mood swing immediately I met my group members lols. The swing was a positive one actually which negates the lazy feeling I woke up with that morning knowing we were going for CDS.
Later that afternoon I had to fix the little garden we had in our lodge
It was getting bushy with weeds so I had to take out time to fix that as well.

You're like... Why are you doing that with your hands, lol. Well I didn't feel very comfortable weeding those stuff with an hoe, so I had to drop the hoe and use my hands.
The weed had grown enough for me to handle, so I used my hands to uproot them Although the job was not very neat since it wasn't a job done with a hoe. You shouldn't blame me for not knowing how to weed comfortably with a hoe, am not really a farmer.
Immediately after this exercise I ate and then took a long nap till evening. I woke up refreshed after the whole activities I had subjected myself to in the day. The benefit of sleep can not really be overemphasized as it was quite refreshing.
The day was almost over so I had to fix other house chores and also came online to check what is happening. Even without telling you where I visited when I came online, you already know... or you still don't know? Well I visited my virtual apartment, steemit...lols
I went through my notifications and also replied messages that needed feedback, I did this late into the night. I Had my dinner and then visited other social media where I remain till light out!
