We had only a few participants in this contest, and they put in their best with great entries. Your contributions were so educational that my definition of makeup got altered and improved.

According to rogue22 in her definition of makeup she stated that;

"Makeup is a cosmetic product used to enhance or alter ones natural appearance. It can either be used to improve and highlight ones attractive features or completely change a person's appearance to look like a different being entirely."

Before the introduction of foreign makeup kits, @bela90 says the Ibibio people of AkwaIbom State made "...use of an item called TIDO." For makeup. While @rogue22 listed some traditional Igbo makeup items like Uri, Nzu, Uhie and Tanjele.

All participants agreed that there was a makeup for different occasions "there is makeup for special events like marriage and others. Anything that has to do with traditional affairs has its specific makeup that makes the people present their selves the people of the culture."
Says @olaiyidennis
It was also generally agreed that both men an women do use makeup, but women make a lot of use compared to men. And all participants preferred the moderate application of makeup.
About this @olaiyidennis expressed an opinion

I'm not against makeup but I don't like heavy makeup. You know we have light and heavy makeup and light [sic] makeup is makeup that is done on the face to change the person's total appearance which most times we may not recognize again.

According to @talktofaith, insecurities have lead some men to restrict their wives from wearing makeups. She said "Some of them feels that when their wives wear this makeup, she would look too beautiful and get attracted to other men"

@maryamnadeem says no to the use of tattoo, to find out why, follow this link to read her article.

You all made meaningful contributions and I would advice more Steemians to read through your posts as they are highly educational. Congratulations to you all.
