My Neighborhood Watch #68 - Reporting Events Around us// celebrating with my culture

Today was the local government election in my state and my elder brother happens to be one of the candidates, he stood and ran for the position of a Councilor, so I had to leave my base to my village so that I can support my brother. You know family is supreme, though cost of transportation has caused a lot of people not to come and cast their votes.

In this post I will be sharing some of the event that happened around my neighborhood and the events that took place today in my village and some took place in my family compound.

The event is a thing of celebration that's why I decided to share with us.

The picture above was when I was done casting my vote, one of the paper was for counselor and one was for the position of chairman,

After casting my vote, I decided to go back home, reaching home I saw some masquerade on the street pursuing people with cane which was fun to watch, at a point I called out to them did what tradition demanded (giving them so money) and after that I took some pictures with them, it's been a while I had so much fun in my hometown.

So I was so happy seeing my culture and I decided to snap with them then, we did different videos in my compound and we took different pictures.

It was one of the event I will never forget in a hurry.

I am so grateful that the long awaiting results is out and my elder brother won in our wards and he is now a Honorable Councillor in my community and his swearing in will be on Monday.

Right now is a season of celebration in my community and we are grateful to God Almighty for making this come true and the success belongs to God Almighty.
