HOW I ATTENDED THE TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE OF MY INLAW IN OKON TOWN IN IKOT ABASI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA AKWA IBOM STATE.
My elder sister husband gave his first sister hand in marriage so we the in-laws were all invited.
The marriage was yesterday which was 31/12/2022 so that morning with pains all over my body I had to prepare for the wedding.
I left my house by 9am straight to the park to board a taxi that will take me to the occasion, the driver charge us 1200 each to ikot Abasi but something happened.
After paying the driver his money and we all went inside the vehicle to commence of journey behold the vehicle refuse to start and before we knew the driver got out from the car and leave us without saying anything, he didn't even have regards for us, after like 30min without seeing him we start making trouble at the park so the person in charge of the park had to bring another car to come and pick us.

So we all use the new vehicle to ikot Abasi.
So by the time I reach my elder sister was so happy to see me, so by the time I reach the bride was not Make up and the funny thing is that she didn't even call a make up artic's so since I have a little knowledge about make up I had to help her make her face.

after the make up she was dressed and be ready for the occasion.
The party was so beautiful, assorted type of food was cooked, food like coconut rice, Afang soup, ekpang nkukwo, jellof rice, fried rice, fofo etc.
When the party started everyone was seated waiting for the bride to come out. In our tradition the bride always comes out last and we all match her out.

After matching the bride to the party she went and seat with her husband, then later the mc
Call them out so that the marriage rite can be perform.
This is when the bride took her husband with a bottle drink to her to bless her union. Then the father will drink the wine and remain for the daughter and the same thing will be done to the mother and also the groom side.
My elder sister came in from ibekwe ikot Abasi with my elder brother wife and I gave them a place to seat and I attend to them.

conclusion
The ceremony was successful and we give God the glory, I left the party by 5:45 pm back to uyo and I reach my house safely
