Hello and welcome to my blog, what a very interesting topic to talk about my neighborhood amd thire activities. I love writing about the environment and people activities within localities and ways out. for this contest, I shall be bringing to you some environmental activities, the impact of those activities on man, and the way of living in Ilorin Kwara state Nigeria.
The street is always busy, with vehicles moving up and down and people moving around to look for what to eat and meet their needs. Everywhere I go, it is always the same hustle, people looking for means of survival.
The community is located in a Lower River basin and some residents suffer water flooding issues which make it inconvenient to live in mostly during raining season. I took a walk around the neighboring community and discover the people's grievance, life is hard but everyone tries to get the best for their families.
The water log passes through people's houses and thereby causes havoc, bringing mosquitoes and reptiles which are harmful to people, especially children. As much as people try to control the water flooding, that is not turning out positive because of the lack of proper drainage in the environment.
The commercial activities are going well day by day. The people run their business on a medium scale, prices of the commodity were affordable not until the recent Implementation of the fuel subsidy which drastically increases fuel prices and affected the price of almost everything in the market to raise.
The people cry out every day for remedy, if the government cannot come to reduce the prices of commodities through other economic strategies, then wages should be increased so that the average Nigerian individual can afford a good life.
In recent years, the community experienced developmental changes and improvement but the rise in the standard of living is what is affecting many, some said because of the lack of concern by the authority for people, hardship pushes them to crime and breaking the law.
A reasonable percentage of the resident in Ilorin live an average life, but many are poor because they depend on the little business they do to survive and have what to eat. The young youth make use of the internet, Ponzi, and digital services to get money and that act leads many to internet fraud among others.
They feel the law is only meant to favor the rich, Hard work pays but only when seen and appreciated. Nigeria is a country full of greatness and potential but these are not seen and utilized, we shall one day have a better community and neighborhood all around.
In conclusion, during hard times and good times, people still live in the neighborhood promoting peace and combination to work toward community development and growth. I wish to invite @yaksoeace @ishayachris @goodness2 to share with us about their neighborhood.

I'm really impressed by what I just read in your post. If all states in Nigeria can be like this, Nigeria would have fewer problems. Undoubtedly, the economic sector is very bad and the rate of inflation is very high as well. Looking for means of survival through hardwork is the best thing one can do to alleviate himself and his family from unnecessary debts. Also venturing into a high income skill can actually keep them fitted even in the most critical of times. Thanks for sharing.
