Greetings friends ❣️
today is a special day, so in this special day I will be discussing in a special contest organized by the official community @steem4nigeria.

What do you understand by being "informed" "uninformed "partially informed", misinformed?

Ok, the following is what I understand by being informed, uninformed, partially informed and misinformed.👇

  • Informed : mean having knowledge or being told about about a situation. You can be informed through radio, newspaper, TV show, someone or a friend.
But make sure you listen very well before passing it to others please.

  • Uninformed : is not having an idea of knowledge about a situation or a particular subject, also when you're not informed about a situation you don't have the full facts.

  • Partially informed : means being informed with an incomplete news or from the wrong source. I wonder why someone will just choose to pass information he has no idea about, ok just because he knows half of the story he feels he can just add anything from his mind.

  • misinformed : this means giving information that is not correct, for me this is one of the most painful, in Nigeria a lot of people pass the wrong information to there neighbors both online just to get reaction in there post.

Which of the category above was your experience?

Well it happen to be misinformed, this particular world "misinformed" is one of the thing affecting a lot of people, there are people who like telling people the wrong information just because they want to make what the are saying to sound sweet in your ear which is bad.

  • Share your story with us

it a long story but I will cut it short, it was in 2020 when I was about to write my (WAEC) west African examination council. a friend of mine who was about to write the same exam with pas a wrong information to me, telling me a wrong date for Tom print just because I wasn't in school and I believe him. during that period teacher were coming to our class again because of our, the only advice us to read our books so there was no need coming to I just have to stay at home and read my books, so on that very day I have begged him to please past any information given by the teachers, not knowing that he wasn't going to school direct when he returns back he pretend as if he was coming back from school when I asked him what the said about our exam tom print he told me they have fixed a date and he passed a wrong date to me, as a friend of mine I trust him very well so I have to believe him because both of us are writing the same exam, so I hold unto the date reaching that I dress up and go to school for my tom print not knowing the are done the with the print already, at this point I was so disappointed, I can't blame him that much because I also have two legs like him but I refuse to go to school.

How did you handle it and what were the lessons learnt.?

I have to look for Solution so I asked a teacher what to do about it and he said the only thing I have to do is go to there office and the are going to charge me hug amount of money, I spent about 30k for something of NGN2500.(price in steem all together is 243 steem)

The lesson here is stop being Careless with something very important to you.
how I wish I was the one being informed directly I will pass through the stress and money I spent would for won't be that much.

Now I have learned to be informed directly so that I don't make the same mistake again,
is not all information pass to you is true something try listening to others before concluding.
Just be very careful of what you say don't pass wrong information to others is very bad please 🙏, if you're not sure of what you're saying just keep quiet before you kill someone with your mouth.
Nigerian we like adding pepper and maggi just to make what we are saying sounds interesting.

conclusion

Please if you're not being informed directly ask questions before reacting please and for those who like passing the wrong information please stop like I said before, don't us your mouth to kill someone you're not gaining any thing for it.

let me use this opportunity to invite @maselo @ismotara @sahmie to participate in this contest.
