For the past 6 days, I have been busy with my duty as an independent monitor in the ongoing WHO Measles immunization Implementation process. It ended on Saturday being 19th October 2024. I am now back to base, waiting for an announcement that will indicate that we should start with the final part of the monitoring work.

day 5 - the final day for the inprocess monitoring

I was assigned to work in Orue Offong ward 5 which is in Okossi. This Okossi is made up of different settlements. But I worked in just 2 settlements . Upon getting to the location which was the closest place I ever worked in since the start day. But I trekked a little and then paid just an amount that is a little less than 1 steem to get there.

I did my work as usual which is locating the focal person, getting the necessary data from her, then I moved to the field and sampled 20 kids in 2 different sites and 10 kids in a settlement and did the same in the other settlement and left.

My only challenge was rain and sun. It was sunny when I got there, after sometimes, it started raining heavily. But thank goodness that it later subsided and enabled me to conclude with my work.

I then went back to my take off point for the review meeting.

I then asked if we will begin the end process immediately. The screenshot below contains my question as well as the response I was given.

With this information, I decided to take my leave back to my city of residence pending when we will be notified.

My Sunday vibes with my little friends

My husband was invited as a guest speaker in another congregation and we have been anticipating this day. It happened to be this Saturday, October 20, 2024. Their meeting time was 9 am. We worked up and made every arrangement to be there early because it was far away from my house.

We were able to get there by 8:37 am. I really thanked God because we were met with a little challenge that could have made us to go late. First, it was raining that early morning. Then the bike man we told to come and carry us to the junction where we can board a vehicle disappointed. We had to walk on foot to almost the junction before getting a motorbike. Not that the walking was hard fore but you understand what it means to be on your best attire coupled with high heel. Well, I am that I made it.

My husband was able to deliver the talk and it was spiritually enriching. The topic was: Keep Jehovah's day in mind. We were admonished to keep busy with holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion. Since Jehovah's day is not certain, we are to always be ready. Besides, the happenings around the world prove that that day is very close. The lessons sank deep inside all in attendance.

We dismissed after the watchtower study which centers on the benefits of repentance which included among other things

  • Jehovah is willing and ready to accept us back.

  • Forgiveness leads to happiness. The guilt will be gone from us.

And so on.

Repentance means that we should feel sorry for our mistakes, change our attitude and turn a new leave, never to willingly repeat that course of action.

We dismissed and we were taken as a visitor to a house where we were entertained. We were given white rice and chicken pepper soup, then water and malt drink, and finally popcorn.

After dinning, we sang some spiritual songs chosen by each and every 13 persons in the house. We also shared experiences am that made the moments a never forgotten moment.

They are very hospitable and we really enjoyed ourselves there.

At home, we had our family worship evening which we missed as a family because we weren't together within the week. After which, I prepared soup. I thought that I was going to get notified to travel back for the Endprocess by that night so that the kids will at least have something to eat. I didn't get that notice.

My husband also decided that he was going to harvest one or 2 yam stands to know if they are matured. The leaves are already drying but fresh leaves are much. Below are the 2 he harvested, water yam and the normal yam

In the morning too, I waited for the notice as colleagues kept asking when we will start that Endprocess. The notice we got is in the screenshot below

It therefore means that we will have to wait. Hence, whenever the notice comes, I will zoom off. It's just going to be for 2 days. My bag is well packed waiting for the notice. I have to continue my normal routine till then.
