My StayFit Members and I were there to support Metroflex and Ultrafit in their friendly match

It was the day the match was fixed, that was yesterday, Sunday 2nd match 2025. Yes, Metroflex and Ultrafit football club went head to head in a friendly match and we were there to watch the match.

I was involved in the arrangement because I was called upon to help them secure our own field for their use. Recall that during our own match with Metroflex football club, The fitness Apostle who happens to be the President of all fitness instructors in Uyo and who also is the head coach in Ultrafit gym here in my city of residence played for my team and even scored the goal with which we equalised with Metroflex football club. There and then, he initiated a football game among different gyms.

In her opening speech during all fitness instructors end of the month meeting, he encouraged fitness instructors to see football game as a uniting force among gym members and encouraged them to feel free to fix matches with any gym at all. And to kick the ball rolling, he announced his intention to go head to head with Metroflex football club, and encouraged everyone to be their to support them.

Since they don't have football field, they contacted me to help them bid the amount they can pay to be able to use the field that day which I did and it was sealed.

They designed and sent their banner in our group which we advertised. I also advertised it in my fitness group so that we can support them especially the Ultrafit because their head coach played for us. We thought it wise to support him and his team. Hence, this past Sunday, by 3 pm, I got there with my family and other StayFit members to watch the match. I arranged for seats for us to seat down and enjoy the match.

It was a match that was played with much energy considering their strong muscles which they had built as a result of their fitness activities. Merely looking at them all, you will think that football will respect muscles, but it doesn't. They still have to employ football skills to be able to win.

They played the first half and scored 1:1. Metroflex scored first while Ultrafit replied. After a 15 minutes rest, they went in again for the second half.

Meanwhile, my fitness members and I were busy enjoying the match with 2 bottles of Big Ben liquor and a bottle of fearless initiated by @alli001 but sponsored by StayFit chairman who was also present with us. @kidi40 was sent to buy it for us and we all drank and were happy watching that match.

We truly desired that Ultrafit wins but we were wrong, they were defeated. Metroflex football club proved to be the elephant as they scored an unreplied goal during the second half of the game. All efforts by the Ultrafit game to reply that goal proved abortive. Even the goal they scored during the first half was a penalty they were awarded. They couldn't win. They were simply outsmarted by Metroflex football club who we won when we played with them.

Well, that is just football game for you. Difficult to predict. Here are some of the moments that were captured by @bossj23 who was busy doing what he knew how to do best, capturing moments amd he even might vibes of the drinks that we took. We simply forgot him.

It was truly fun filled! And guess what? Ultrafit has challenged my fitness group to match. Yes, they want to play with my fitness group. Perhaps, they will want to unleash their anger on us. They are like a wounded lion. Well, we can only prepare a d face them. Only the end of the match will determine who wins. It will be on a Sunday but we are yet to agree on the particular Sunday, it might probably be on the 16th if all things are equal. It's going to be fun! We can't wait!

I am happy that they used our field and they are also happy too. Till today, they still grateful because, they usually pay a huge amount of money to use the field but because of my influence, they got it at a reduced amount.
