StayFit Club: Highlights of My fitness activities for the Week Ending 7th April, 2024. ABS Week

Welcome back to my blog dear friends of fitness. If you are a fitness lover, this my weekly update and highlights of my fitness activities will interest you.

This past week, we focused on training the ABS which is the abdominal muscles training.

ABS or Abdominal muscles or strength training means training the muscles around the abdominal region. This has a lot of benefits to our overall well being. For instance, training our ABS helps build strength around the entire body, it helps us to gain a balance of our body and thus reduce the chances of injuries because we can easily adapt.

How about achieving that 6 packs that you have always dreamt about? Abdominal muscles training can help you to achieve that. There are a whole lot of programs that are meant to build strength and muscles in the abdomen and the whole body as well.

These are but not limited to the following

We have the planks, we have the pushups, the crunchs, the leg raise up of various types, mountain climber and so on.

We were able to carry out these exercises and many more throughout this past week.

I ensured that my trainees get the desired results and impacts that should be gotten from those exercises.

We were able to train those 4 days that mapped out for the training, and that is Mondays, Wednesdays Fridays and Saturdays. You will like to see our pictures on those days, not so?

Monday training

At exactly 6:30am, we started the day's training with those at hand. First, we did warm-up, jogging round the field for 3 times. Then we did stretching to get the body ready for the workout. After that, we had a full house and the main program for the day began.

We trained for 2 Hours. I gave out the programs in batches and in pairs and according to how the trainees arrive. We carried out about 6 different types of abs exercises and they were able to join in all and tried hard to complete them. Each program is done 100 times but broken down in 20s. That is they are done 5 times to complete the program.

Wednesday Training

We went again for other abs programs. We did seat up with the dumbbell, seat up with tires, press ups, planks and others. But we first jogged, stretched before the proper training for the day began.

Friday training

We had new people join us that Friday including @bossj23 @steemnurse1 and others. We also did abs programs as I already told them. It was more of crunches of different types that we did that day. Both side crunch , high knee, jump squats seat ups, planks both full and half and others which we didn't cover the other days.

Saturday

It was a fun workout day. We went on aerobics class. We used Tabatha music to workout. It was a general workout program and for full body exercises.

We had the company of some boarding students who came out for their workout too and the joined us.

How about me?

Well, it is easy to train others and forget yourself. It almost happened toe last week that I started feeling like I am adding weight. But this time around, I trained alongside others. When I give out the programs, I give demo and I also tried to do mine. Assuming it is 4 reps, I will try to do 3 and the last 4, I will use that opportunity to take pictures.

I am determined to train myself the more. Time is usually not on my side, else,I had wanted to join my coach after training others but I haven't got the opportunity.

Hosting Our Traveling members

Schools have closed for the second term and the 3 corp members that workout with us planned to travel for the holiday. The chairman of StayFit club decided to host them and he invited us to come and dine and wine.

It was done on Wednesday because they planned to travel on Friday. We went to the Hotel and Resort owed by the host and enjoyed what he presented to us. Wine, beer, meat, groundnuts, rice and pepper soup and so on. It was fun. At the end, he equally presented them with cash gift which he gave me to hand over to them. They were very happy and excited to belong to this our fitness group

It was great !

Next week will present another wonderful opportunity. I already told them that we are going for strength training. Let's see how it will go!
