Dear Diary,

It is my pleasure to share my activities for this past Sunday. It was a day filled with remarkable events and activities, one that I can't forget in a hurry. For one thing, it was a day we began a new meeting time for the year, I enjoyed the meeting regardless, then prior to that, I went to the farm to buy chicken for growing and I was able to buy fresh eggs from a poultry farm in preparation for the food aid for the week. Details are below

In the Poultry farm

Since our meeting time changed for the year, I had enough time to prepare or even do other activities before meeting time. The farmer called me on Saturday to know when I will be coming to pick the children I booked prior to this Sunday. Yes, I had in mind to start raising chicken even though my space is little. I had already booked them in advance but we were just waiting for the day and time it will be convenient for both the farmer and I. He is a civil servant and also a poultry farm owner. He is my old customer since last year.

I usually buy 4 weeks old birds from him and raise them to the point I can sale. But the last time I raised, they were for our consumption. But this time around, I will like to sale them.

After I contacted him on Saturday evening, telling him that I was going to come on Sunday for pickup, he was pleased with that. so, I woke up by 4 am to attend to my spiritual needs. After saying a prayer, my husband accepted to accompany me to the poultry that is at [Udo Udoma avenue ](///highways.pill.defrost. the farm is not a very big one. It is at one side of their residential building. But according to him, he had been in that business for 15 good years. This has given him the experience he needs to even impact in others.

His birds are problem free especially these ones that are 4 weeks old. He gives them all the care and meditation needed for them to grow to maturity. They won't be needing any other thing again except food and fresh water. I have also tried his birds without problems.

I booked for just 10 of them because that's the only quantity my space can carry. When we got there, he helped us select good ones from the ones he had. We are free to make changes if we desire but the ones he gave us were ok.

In one of the pictures above, you can see him inside the farm trying to make the selections. Then in another one, he brought the packaging bags and started boring holes on them so that the birds can get air while being transported. Then you can see how he bagged the birds in fives of 2 bags for us. We then left to the house afterwards.

Feeding Our Rabbits

Our rabbits were eagerly waiting for our return. Most times, it is my son that usually gets the grass and feed them, but this time around, my husband fed them while I assisted him. We fed them cover crop grass that my son cut from the nearby bush. They enjoy eating this particular grass. We also topped up their water for them.

2 weeks ago, we crossed the male and one of the females. We are waiting see if it was successful. We have also crossed the second one. This means that is it went successfully, we will be expecting them to give birth in the next 21 to 28 days after crossing them. We can't wait

At the Meeting for spiritual instructions

As soon as we were done with morning chores and it was time, we got dressed. Oh, lest I forget, our meeting time is now 12 noon. It was 8 am last year. Yes, since we are more than one group that makes use of that kingdom hall, we have to rotate the meeting times so that each group can enjoy both morning, afternoon and evening meeting hours. We are pleased to shift ours to this afternoon.

We left the house by 11:35 am so that we can be able to get there before 12 noon. We made it there early and exchanged greetings. At exactly 12 noon, the chairman introduced the speaker after song and prayer and the title he spoke on was: will you be a survival of the last days?

This topic is timely because we are already deep into the last days of this system of things. Mathew 24.1-7 was read to show that we are living in the last days. That shows the events that will be taking place to prove we are really living in the last days. Then 2 Timothy 3.1-5 was also read to show the attitude of people. These are prove that we are really living in the last days.

Amidst this last days are situations that make it really difficult for us to survive. But we are encouraged to remain faithful, to be discerning, to abound in holy acts of conduct and deeds of godly devotion to be able to survive. Additionally, we need to put forth efforts to be able to be found spotless, unblemished and in peace.

After this 30 minutes discuss, we moved to watchtower study with the topic: how to cope with injustice. Yes, in the world today, injustice abound. We can't control it but we can control how we react to it and how we are affected by it. We all know that when we are faced with injustice, the normal reaction is to respond in kind. But we are encouraged not to because our Almighty God can take care of matters for us. We are to allow him to take vengeance on our behalf. He understands and knows everything and he has the power to undo bad effects of injustice at his own due time. Yea, trusting him is what we should always do when we are treated unjustly.

We are reminded to imitate Jesus Christ who was also treated unjustly but never retaliated. Romans 12.19, 21 helps us to leave matters in God's hands.

After the meeting ended by 2 pm, we left with my friend to her house.

getting fresh eggs from farm

Since my husband will be having quarterly meetings with others, we decided to go wait for him in my friend's house. There, we were served with soup and garri. After that, I helped braid her kid's hair in preparation for school on Monday. Then I asked her if there is any poultry around where I can buy fresh eggs. Yes, I need it for the food aids that will start this week. She said yes and tooke to the nearby poultry where I was able to buy 5 Cretes of eggs.

She brought out 7 Cretes from where I selected 5 out of them.

We went back to my friend's house to continue waiting for my husband's return. He came back after the sun went down by 7:30 pm and from there, we went back home.

It was such a busy day for me as you can see. But I love busy days. I am grateful to the Almighty for the success of that day.

Cheers!
