Season's greetings and happy prosperous new year to all of us in steem4Nigeria I'm glad we all made it to the new year and I'm very much happy to be a participant of this contest for the first time and I thank the organizer @xcool24 for always bring this great opportunity for us to understudy our neighborhood I must confess I'm delighted to be part of this contest and to brief what is ongoing in my neighborhood I'm reporting this from Ediene Ikot Obio Imo for people to be aware of what is happening in their nearby surroundings and environment.

Cross Overnight vigil: this is done on eve of new year so on the 31st night we all went to church it's slated for each christian family to keep a night watch or vigil in church though not all members do come out, the essence of this night vigil is pray and enter the new year with great hope,in some congregation they will stay till day break before dismissal while in my church which is orthodox by name Presbyterian church of Nigeria we dismiss dot 12am sometimes the road is always dangerous because of street boys shoot knockout it is advisable to be mobile so that immediately church closes you can transport yourself safely to your destination

Cross section of the during night vigil, it's was a thing to have this number of members who turn up in the night to pray and praise God and thereby testifying if what God has done in their lives and that of their family.

This musicians name Raster Mfon took it upon himself to entertain market women who went to the market to sell on the New Year he sang both Christian songs and secular music people came out to appreciate him willingly with what they have its was not a forceful act I noticed that market women enjoyed the music and wish for him to be doing it every blessed day

It's was a nice time to witness this kind gesture from him it's very rare to see such people pleasing others with what they know how to do this happened in Ediene ikot Obio Imo.

I must confess knowing what's happening in your environment and neighborhood makes one to be properly informed of what's going be next either positively or negatively the awareness brings enlightenment to people living in the neighborhood.
