Guess what!

The Big News is that we are still in farming season, I'm bringing this to remind everyone especially those people who think that farming is for rural dwellers, know, times has change and everyone is experiencing hike in food commodity. I know really well that excuses will come in like I'm living in a rented apartment, I don't have land to cultivate, yes you don't need to have land before you cultivate, you can rent or lease any available vacant land for planting and even your backyard can serve as a small farm for corn 🌽 that you can plant and eat with your family during harvest and these corn are annual crops that stay within 1-3 months has reached maturity period.

Its saddened my heart the way people go into someone's farm and have the mindset of entering into someone else's farm and harvest corn and cassava that he/ she didn't plant during time of planting they will have be less concern attitude.

These year planting season, I'm fully represented in all farming activities

except clearing because I can't cut those big storms, I decided to join my father in the village to assist him because has a widower its difficult for him to do all the farm chores all by himself, although I was not fast like him I did what I could.

Here in the farm, after clearing which was done by the father, I did the stomping after bush burning

After stomping I planted corn which was soaked inside water overnight to break dormancy or to check viability of the seed,

my father was not left out,we planted it together and put sticks.
After planting the corn seeds I dug holes for planting of cassava ,it was planted three stem per hole

• I urge everyone to take part in cultivating crops if food sufficiency is desired in the coming month.

• let work while it's day because night cometh when no one could work.

This is Outstanding.
Farming is definitely for almost everyone, I love the fact you stated that one don't really have to own a land before cultivating so even a lease one is mandatory..

I am a good farmer at least, earlier this year I've been involved in clearing the bush for cultivating and soon I'm done with the school activities keeping me, I'll join my mother in the village to assist in digging holes and planting of cassava, corn and melons among others.

I'm pleased of this awareness ma'am and good luck 🤞

Farming is most important activities that needs collaboration and collective effort if we require food sufficiency, our country will still be exporting food stuffs if we as citizens doesn't stand up to farm in our individual capacity.
I wish you success in your school.
And you have done extremely beautiful to involved and assist your parents in farming.

Thank you for engaging with me
