The Diary Game: || My Very First Sunday Attending Church in the Village// [15-12-2024]

Being in the village this festive season is the most happiest moments for me, truly speaking have been far from my family for many years but thank God I'm back to meet with my dad and siblings, though they are not in the village but the few I had in contact with gives me joy.

Here's how my Sunday went in the village;

Early morning as usual I woke up said my morning prayer at about 6 am-6:30 am, after that I went outside to greet my dad and I notice that he didn't come out but my brother was already awake trying to wash his clothes

Sunday was his day for morning duties since I was the one doing throughout the days and because of the nature of his job he rarely stay at home so I reminded him about his morning chores and he said no problem, I left him and I was thinking about church which of the parish that's closer to me,so I went and prepare had my bath,rubb self-care product and dressed up, I couldn't wait for my brother since we were going differently but the same church "Presbyterian Church Of Nigeria"by 7:30am sun was already scorching so I trek down to the main road under the sun

The parish I went to is situated at Atiku Abubaka by former jamb office, from the main road down there is 200 naira only,to and fro amount 400 naira. The service was really awesome as I sat under the ministration of a lay preacher and a teacher to the core who took so much time explaining the word of God.

The topic of the sermon was "Rejoice in the Lord", theme Text; Philippian 4:4-7 and Luke 3:7-15, the point of emphasis was for believers to always rejoice though faced trials and tribulation they are still many reasons why we should rejoice,we rejoice in hope, patient that at the end of it all everything will normalize if we as believers don't faint.

In the afternoon when I came back from church I was so tasty and hungry and thank God my brother also came back so he peel this fruit for us to use and chill first before further arrangements

It was very sugary and nice, although I don't like pawpaw at such but this very one was eye catching and I even requested for more.

In the evening I prepared porridge plantain for dinner and we ate happily

Truly, its nice to be home or village in particular once in awhile.
