An Anniversary is a day of remembrance , it is a day when you remember a special event, a heart breaking event like death of a dear one , or a memorable occasion. Many of us if not all have one or more of this events yearly and we take time out to remember them , on these occasions we are sometimes sober, Celebrate or merry,but all anniversaries have something in common, they present an opportunity to think or reflect on those events and how they affect us, reassure ourselves or strengthen our conviction in the decisions and path taken and make more plans for the future.

Happy anniversary to us

A marriage anniversary is one of those moments that brings great Joy to the couple,it is a perfect reminder of the bond they share,the beautiful times spent together, the challenges they've overcome, the sacrifices made, the blessings received and the goals and plans for their future together. It is the day they decided to take each others hand and Never let go!!!
For my husband and I, that Day was 2nd October and we didn't miss out on remembering it.

OUR DAY

We woke up on Sunday morning to congratulatory messages from well meaning friends and family who shared our Joy, the love made us cry , we were amazed at the number of messages, gifts and calls we received, we felt really honoured to have such good friends and family.
We had a late breakfast due to replying many messages, spent some time with friends and prepared to for our meetings at the kingdom hall, after the meetings we decided to spend sometime together outdoors, in the evening we got to a restaurant where we got our dinner, on arriving home a friend supprised us with an online event where he gathered more friends and our families to give us a good celebration 🥳, it wasn't physical but we were more than happy. Our one year anniversary was a memorable one, an anniversary we will never forget.

CONCLUSION

We thank Jehovah the author of marriage for this gift,
we also thank him for giving us his word to guide us through the challenges that satan and our human imperfections present in marriage, and for his care daily, it is indeed true that" those seeking Jehovah will lack nothing good"(ps 34:10). In a year of marriage, we have learned that nothing replaces reliance on Jehovah and trying to follow his teachings, his teachings on paitience, forgiveness, love, Compassion, selflessness and commitment have always proved time and again to be the key ingredients along with love of God that keeps the marriage bond, others have testified and so have we.
