Contest | Memories From The National Meetup

Greetings to you all dear steemians in Steem4Nigeria community, it pains me to see you all depart at the conclusion of the Meetup, it was as if the event should continue. I do hope you all got back to your destinations safely and sound. Permit me to share my memories from the just concluded national meetup held in the city of Uyo in this contest organized by @ruthjoe.

Were you present for the just concluded meetup? If you did, tell us why you decided to attend and if you didn't, tell us why you could not make it.

YES. I was present live and direct. It was mandatory for me to be present because I am a Nigerian Steemian living in the very city that host the Meetup. Besides I feel the sense of belonging being with my fellow steemians whom I have seen only on the pages of post blogs. So once this noble opportunity presents itself through the efforts of the hard working team of @ngoenyi and @goodybest alongside others, I grab it with both hands. If I had stay away, how will I have meet the likes of @ninapenda, @eveetim, @okere-blessing, @xkool24, @goodybest and @sahmie and the host of others too numerous to mention.

What was your best moment during the meetup? And if you didn't attend tell us two things you have heard already about the Meetup.

My best moments were when @ngoenyi was filling the answer to the question "What is Steemit?" Initially, one would have expected her to answer that Steemit is this or that, but she turns it to an occasion for asking some of the steemians on seat who may not have taught about it. Some say Steemit is a platform to showcase your talents and others say, it give you the opportunity to share your thoughts by post and still earn from it. But to me, if ask, I would say that Steemit is simply a way of life.
Another moment was when @goodybest talked about how to keep a good engagement to become visible on the platform, not to mention when @xkool24 talked about making the national meetup thing a yearly event as well as the importance of commenting on other steemians post to buttress what @goodybest emphasis on.

Do you have a steemian you would have love to meet that wasn't present? And mention 5 Steemians you met for the first time. And if you didn't attend the meetup, tell us who has been your biggest motivation to continue blogging.

Yes I actually expected to meet with @manuelhooks, @ubongudofot, @raddleking and a lot of other notable steemians. For the first time I met @goodybest, @okereblessing @eveetim, @xkool24 and @sahmie. The list can go on and on.

Share two pictures you took from the event and what those pictures represent to you? If you didn't attend, tell us 4 Steemians you would have love to take pictures with and why.

The first picture is a way of reunion of a mentor and mentee. Each time I sees her commitment on the Steemit platform, it gives me a sense of accomplishment.

The second picture echo in my mind the need to catch them young. It really gladdens my heart to see these lovely once in the company of their parents gracing the occasion. I believe the future of Steemit belong to such ones.
