INTRODUCTION

Nigeria is the giant of Africa with rich culture and values. Our food and clothing defines us. We have good agricultural land that's why when you come to Nigeria you will discover so many Hecatre of land mainly reserved for planting. We are blessed. I will be taking you all on a tour to one of the Nigerian markets in my neighborhood, in this market you can buy freshly produced food stuffs.

Fresh Palm oil

Palm oils

This is produced from ripped palm fruits nuts, it undergoes different processes before it can be sold in the market. Currently the cost of it in the market is fearful because it's not the season. Just like you can see in the picture 1 liter of Palm oil in our Nigerian foodstuff market is about 2300 in Nigerian money which is approximately 8steem.

It has numerous uses such as.

  • Cooking.
  • Production of soap
  • Production of creams
  • It serve as first aids to Poison.

Stockfish

Our delicacies in Nigeria is incomplete without the aroma of stock fish, it is used for the preparation of soup,stew, Jellof rice, coconut rice ,abacha and many others. It was for the reach of the masses, lately it has joined the rich man food stuff gang. That's to say the price ranges from 500 Naria upwards.

Pumpkin leaf is the commonest leaf you can found around Nigeria, it has a lot of benefits, which includes boosting the blood , here in Nigeria it can be used in preparation of melon soup, okra soup, local rice, and vegetable soap(edikaekong). The price has skyrocketed to a wrap of some leaves 200 Naria. Less than 1steem.

Onions

Every house in Nigeria has this readily available in the kitchen because it is used in most all the foods. Of course the benefits of using onions in our meals can not be overemphasized. It is still affordable in our Nigerian market.

We have good scent fresh peppers in Nigeria, we also have different spices, Tatashi, shombo, red fresh pepper,ball pepper, green pepper. Pepper is a good appetizer in our meals , it can only be excluded in food under doctor's prescription which is not common. Because our food needs pepper.

Fresh okra

Do you know we have okra in Nigeria, it is one of the fastest moving foodstuffs in the market, they sellers can not go home without selling,why? Because it an everyday foodstuff. Five seedlings of okra is sold at 200 Naria. Which is less than 1steem.

Conclusion
