A New Year, New Me

Hello great Nigerian steemians! Happy mid-week to you out there. How is your post-new year celebration? Hope you have set your plans rolling already. Thank you @eveetim for this week's contest so I could retrospect on my past year with a view to making amend. In this post, I am going to explain to you what last year was to me and what I have put on ground to make this new year a fruitful one. Stay with me, let's begin.

Is it really important to look back at the past years and make adjustments?

Of course, adjustment is necessary in life if one must go far in the journey of success. Without reflecting on your actions and inactions, the previous years, one may not know if there was any place he didn't do well that needed adjustment. The significance of adjustment are uncompromising.

One, making adjustment helps one to correct the mistakes of the past that played down on one's success. Two, adjustment will put you on the right track to your success. We all know that life is governed by principles. Following the principles of success is the key to a greater achievement. It's only when one retrospect that he would know if he had followed life's principle or not. Again, adjustment helps to bring to a focus, one's plans and deliberate steps he must take in order to achieve one's plan in life.

Tell us about the areas you have adopted changes this year.

Many areas in my life have needed attention as far as change is concerned but there arr salient areas I have to adjust immediately. In the area of time management, I need a serious change. I didn't manage time well especially last year. Even though I had planned on what to achieve that year, I repeatedly found myself involved in unnecessary actions that killed time and later played back on my success. Another area is saving. When it came to saving of money, I was not able to keep to what I promised myself. This year, because of the project i intend to embark on, I need to chnage my frivolous attitude towards expenditure. Lastly, I will definitely work on my prayer life. Previous years, I discovered that I was some how weak when it comes to prayer. I am already putting things in places with regards to my spiritual life.

About the slogan'dey for who dey for you. ' Do you think people should relate only with those who relate with them, even if it were their family members and closed friends?

Not at all. This slogan does not work in this modern society where you don't know where your help will come from. It is necessary in our society to relate with everyone because the world is a small place. The world can bring you to seek help from someone whom.you didn't want to realte with. Apart from that, everyone needs one another for survival. Friends and family members are vital to one's existence. If you don't need them today, definitely you will need them tomorrow.

Do you think as we enter the new year that we are getting older and there should be a change of attitude?

Certainly, there should be change of attitude as one get older because what goes around, comes around. Bad attitude one exhibited while young if he doesn't do away with can hunt him in his later life or his children. For our society to be better, change of attitude is necessary.

Are there attitude you need to do away with this year? Tell us about them and the reasons why you need to change them.

There are few attitude that I really need to do away with this new year. One of them is procrastination. Last year in particular, I had carried over what I would have finished into this year. It has cost me a lot that year. I would have to drop this attitude so I can move faster this year. Also, spending so much time in the social media had taken away quality time I would have used to achieve something great last year. Of course, I have started dividing my time into days, weeks and month and how I will use them daily to help me achieve my ambition this year. <div class="text-center ## Thank you so much for reading my post.
