Greetings my friends in Steem 4 Nigeria community I am pleased to share what is happening in my neighborhood right now in the Neighborhood Watch contest organized by @xkool24.

Through my observation I see that our environment in the city of Uyo is not very clean especially at the government designated dump sites. You see people dump their waste into the gutters blocking water ways and outflow when is rains.

You also see other people called scavengers go to search for recycled items and they end up scattering those waste all over the place. This becomes an eye sour as well as dangerous to our health through the emission of green house gass, toxic gas and spread of diseases such as cholera, malaria and other are borne and water borne diseases.

This is AKADEP road off Clement Isong Ring Road.I am always worried each time I ply this road because the air around this place is always toxic and I do feel uncomfortable sighting these waste spread over the place.

This picture is just a handful out of many others. The government truck do pick up the waste, yet what happens before they pick up the waste is the problem. Instead of dropping their waste a the specific spot that was designed for them to drop they will rather through it at any where close the dump site.

I recommend that citizens should take responsibility to drop their waste at the government designated spot not to spray the waste along the whole road. Scavengers should also be caution not to scatter the waste all over the place.

Let's be responsible citizens and take care of our waste properly. Do not drop your waste into the gutter, road or nearby bushes. I believe we will have a cleaner city with this. I invite my friends @bela90, @wakeupkitty and @martha-ogechuckwu to join me and share what is happening in our society.

I wonder why the waste is their. Imagine a group would clean up.. Where can the waste be left? Can it be set at fire or will it be dug into the ground?
Better not be close with those who never clean up or have bad table manners.

In my neighbourhood rarely happens anything. It's just me, two shepherds amd the farmer (distance +1 km away). It's silence except when people stop by to check if they can rob the place.
I already scared the hunters away so the wildlife is safe (deers, hares, foxes, birds of prey, pheasants and a million of pigeons).

A good Saturday to you.

Indeed I would love to stay in that kind of your environment it's such a sweet and calm environment.
