Explain stress in your own word.

I will define stress as the breaking point, boiling point or elasticity limit of every human being. By this I mean that just as water boils humans also do boil. Just like elastic breaks at it elasticity limit humans do go through the same process. In the case of water it evaporates, condences and return back to it initial state. As humans we should be conscious of our boiling point, breaking limit and know the remedy that soothes us. It could also be known as a state when someone is tired, worn out after a day job overtime without resting or relaxing the body to regain itself over a long period of time.

Different people react differently to stress. Some have headache, migraine, dementia, high blood pressure, stroke, paralysis, heart failure or sudden death etc.

What is the best way to manage stress?
Stress should be managed in the following ways:

  • Medical check up: Have a routine medical check to ascertain your stress level.

  • Adhere to medical advice: Whatever medical advise or prescription your doctor give adhere to them to avoid crises.

  • Take rest: when working learn to take rest intermittently, go for leave.

  • Learn to say no to some jobs and also learn to say no to some jobs.

  • Drink plenty of water.

  • Do exercise regularly: schedule exercise that fits your schedule.

  • Eat good food that has all the balance diet.

Have you been stressed up before? What caused it and what did you do.

Yes I have been stressed severally which ended me up in dementia. The stress exposed me to mental sickness. I now have to be living on drugs. After I put to birth I didn't take enough rest added with blood shortage in my body. It suddenly came out on my body like rashes that itched me for 3 days and 3nights making me unable to sleep. I became restless and it escalated into mental problem. If I had been taken to the hospital immediately the symptom showed up I would not have experience what I am experiencing now.

Do you think stress can solve this life challenges?
No, I don't think stress can solve this life challenges. No matter how hard we may work life challenges will still remain and so we need to take out time to rest, visit our doctor and take our medication where necessary.

What advise can you give to someone that is under stress right now.

Whenever you have strange sickness visit your doctor immediately it could be your stress reaction. Do not wait until your body start reacting to stress before you visit a doctor, be going for routine medical checkup. Stick to your doctor's advise and take your drugs. In my ignorant I used to throw my drugs away and refused to go for my schedule medical check up. As a result I kept on having crises and a horrible one at that. Now since two months ago, I carry myself and money to go for my check up because I do not want to have crises any more. My own has given me more than a second chance yours might be different and you may not be as lucky as I am. Please see a doctor and most importantly adhere to medical advise.

I invite @ubikool, @kidi40 and @ogechukeu-martha to send their thoughts in the contest.
