Diary Game : Last weekend (28-29th, May 22.) alone with my daughter and my long absence from steem

Happy weekend lovelies, it's a cold morning right here in Nigeria and I'm still on bed covering myself, I just wish today can be a lazy day. It's so cold and I just want to lie in my bed eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and I get to steem all day. This would be a reality if I don't have a toddler to look after and if I have a chef. Lol, ok so don't let me bore you with all this tales. Let me share with you how my last weekend went and my reason for not posting on steem for a while.

It's been about two months I didn't make a post on steemit, though I was kind of active in the comments section but I wasn't in a mental space to be fully active. My health was a bit challenged and I had to deal with a lot of changes around. I struggled a lot mentally. Mental health is as important as our physical health, I will share my story one day but until then let's drive in to how I spent my last weekend alone with my lovely daughter.

Saturday 28/05/22

Weekend is always a time to look forward to with family and friends but this time around my weekend was with my daughter. We spent our Saturday indoor enjoying each other's company. My daughter can be handful as she's very active and can like to scatter everywhere. We woke up, did our morning prayers and I proceed to do some house chores which I played her cartoon for her. She refused to watch it and decided to be my assistant worker. Lol. Work I was supposed to do in less than an hour I did it for almost 3 hours because of a baby Marvelous. When I was done I was already hungry and I'd be craving jollof rice for a while, so I decide to cook jollof rice and also egusi soup for the weekend.

I had no plans to cook again for the weekend so I cooked all that was needed for my daughter and I. I finished all the cooking late and I was really tired, I showered and tried to have some rest but Marvelous won't let me as she wants to play. She was asleep while I was cooking but won't let me sleep now that I want to sleep. Life of a mother.

I was able to loose and wash her hair as well. We watched TV together and played hide and seek. It was getting late and now I really need to sleep, so I started singing her a lullaby so she will sleep, I didn't know when I slept off myself. I woke up to see us both lying on one corner of the bed.

Sunday 29th/05/22

It's the last Sunday of the month of May and last Sunday is know for Thanksgiving Sunday in my church. We woke up on time so we won't be late for church.

We had a great time in God's presence. The worship and praise session was amazing and the word was superb. They taught about financial intelligence route to financial dominion. How to save and not spend all your earnings and also invest and have difference streams of income. People won't normally expect that kind of teaching in church but I'm glad my church will always open our eyes to things like that.

We left church around 1pm, it was already afternoon, so we got home, microwave the food from yesterday and ate with joy. Did a video call to my husband who is on his way home. My baby slept for a which while I did a little study and it didn't take long before my husband came back and we were all happy and over the moon. We got some goodie from him and he ate dinner. We all retire to bed not long after.

It was a beautiful weekend for me as I had time to bond with my daughter. Thank you for reading my post and have a lovely weekend.
