Neighborhood Watch #15 - Reporting Events Around us

It's a new day with new challenges. You wake up and others wake up not knowing their problems or them knowing yours except you disclose it to them. It has really been an experience though seeing people react differently to different situations that arises. This isn't a case study no doubt. It's just a normal way of life that must be curtailed. Guess what I experienced on Saturday?

On Saturday after returning from an holiday trip that I spent about two weeks, it was quite fun. After I returned i went out to buy some snacks not quite far from my house, when I arrived at the supermarket I found out that they had not yet opened due to sanitation restrictions in by area that every shop must remain closed till 10:00am.

So I decided to sit my a corner and wait till it was time for them to start selling, suddenly I sad a people running towards a certain direction not far from where I was sitting so I stood up and went to find out what was the cause of the people's sudden movement,only to arrive at the scene and find two young men fighting.

One of them was a taxi driver and had carried the other person who he is now fighting with from a distance about 20km away from the current scene.
According to the taxi driver,he said the discussed a payment for the distance and they both agreed but when the passenger got to his destination,he said he can't pay the taxi driver for the amount they agreed before and to make matter all worse ,the passenger said he was going to pay by transfer.

That was when the driver can down from the car dragged the passenger out and gave the passenger a clap on the jaw.The passenger clapped the driver back and that was how the fight started.
People tried to settle them but they both parties were not ready to settle .

They even took the fight to a level were they started using sticks to hit each other. It caused a traffic jam,and people couldn't pass. Luckily, the police were passing by and some the scene, settled the fight. At the end the passenger was taken to the police station but was granted bail.

This is what actually happened in my neighborhood which serves as a great lesson for me though. We've been experiencing reactions by many. So at times, we should avoid these reactions by holding the exact money we'll be giving the bus driver or taxi driver otherwise, we'll be taken advantage of. We should also ask properly how much would be our charge Before entering. Like in this case, the bus driver is at fault because they had an agreement. So each passing day brings about lessons, life lessons.
