And I'm so delighted to welcome you all to the steem4nigeria accelerator contest which is titled "Mother's Love; A Time to Celebrate and Cherish"

In Your Understanding, Who Is Considered A Mother, And What Are The Duties Of A Mother?

According to my own understanding a person who is being considered a mother is a woman who gave birth to a child and makes it her responsibility to love, cherish and support that child till the very end with all her strength.

The duties of a mother in a family isn't far fetch as it is one of the most important duties that keeps the family together and they are;

• The number one duties of a mother is to teach the child the values of life
• Another duties of a mother is to provide domestic nurturing which includes attaining to the childrens demand like food, clothing and protection
• Also it is the duties of the mother to provide support both financial and emotional support to the father
• It is also the dutie of the mother to cook food for the family

What Are Some Of The Sacrifices That Mothers Make For Their Children?

For me personally another name for mother's is love, that is why they say that another thing next to God's love is a mother's love which makes me to remember when I was watching national geographic two antelopes wanted to cross a river.

A mother antelope and her child, so the child was scared of the water so the mother antelope cross the river and was on the other side then her child also summoned the courage to cross but unfortunately a crocodile 🐊 was heading her way and the mother antelope say that the crocodile was going to kill her child

Then immediately the mother antelope jump into the river and swim directly towards the crocodile and was captured but her child survived.

With that alone you can easily tell that a mother is always very willing to loose everything just so that their child may survive.

How Does A Mother's Love Shape A Person's Character And Development?

The love of a mother to a child is build out of optimum sincerity and thus capable of shaping and reshaping a child's character as well as their entire individual development

Unlike father's that will be shouting at their children when they misbehave, the mother on the other hand will choose to tender discipline with understanding thus making a child to feel comfortable in the field of discipline and as a result shape their character.

How Can We Celebrate And Show Appreciation For Our Mothers And Their Love?

We can choose to celebrate and show our appreciation for our mother's in so many ways that suits us, and one of the ways that have proven to be very effective is the hosting of the annual mother's day which is mark globally to celebrate the world mother's.

But for me personally if I have the money I would like to buy my mom a car because I wouldn't want her to stress herself too much when it comes to transportation, which is a way of appreciating her for all that she has done for me.

Conclusion

Mother's are special human beings that have sacrificed a lot for their child's survival and for that I want to use this medium to tell them thank you.
